We recently bought this airfryer, it had been on our list for the longest and we finally got our hands on this. It is a quick & a easy method to eat “fried” foods without feeling guilty. All the dishes that come out of this are always delicious and crispy and it is very easy to use compared to baking or frying.

Design – It may be small for larger families but its compact size is perfect for me and my partner, always does not take up a lot of the counter space. Its a sleek design which is stainless steel and we got the grey/black color.

Usage – It is quite easy to use, it already has pre set functions for temperatures & times for some items, which makes it convenient to use. The display is big enough to see how much time is remaining for an item to be cooked, etc.

Cleaning – The cleaning of the air-fryer is what held me not buying one for the longest time, but with this air fryer we don’t have to worry about that. The basket and the tray inside are easy to clean and are dishwasher friendly and the food barely ever sticks to the bottom, making it very smooth to just pop in to the dishwasher.

Overall, this is a great product for the price its at, it has even made baking and reheating foods so much easier for us! It is a fantastic investment for those looking for quick cooking without having to use too much oil/butter on their dishes. A great addition to the kitchen!

Don’t over think it. Will you use it … YOU BET! Is it easy to use … ABSOLUTELY! What is the down side to all this good new? It will take up room on your counter (a little larger than a toast, but far more useful). This air fryer is a perfect starter for those who are not sure just how useful this item will be in their lives. My wife and I both work. I get home about 15 minutes before she arrives and I already have food cooking away. Frozen or thawed, this air fryer cooks chicken reasonably fast and with great result. Wings, breast, leg quarters all come out with a crispy skin (my favorite) and juicy flesh all in about 20 minutes. French fries, potato quarters, sliced or diced, they all cook quick and completely. Salmon and catfish are done to perfection. The machine does most of the thinking and all the cooking. Meals are not dried or tough, but crispy and moist. We use the machine several times a week.

I had been reading about air fryers for years, but just recently, I decided to buy one. The first one I bought had to be returned because when I did a test run, the odor was so strong that it lingered for days, and it set our fire alarm off. So, I decided to try this one, and bought the five quart because there’s only two of us, and I wasn’t going to cook that much in it.

Because I wasn’t sure about using an air fryer, I bought a used one from the Amazon Warehouse. That way, I wouldn’t feel like I had wasted a lot of money if it didn’t get used. When we did a test run with this one, there was very little odor, which was a relief. Also, the controls are very easy to use, and I like the fact that the basket is dishwasher safe.

We haven’t used it a lot, yet, but we did do the following:
      1. Bacon–Turned out just right.
      2. Frozen onion rings–Came out nice a crispy.
      3. Frozen French fries–Cooked in no time, and turned out great, even without shaking.
      4. French fries warmed up–Did a great job.
      5. Poached eggs–Total failure. Tried three different times at different temps, and never got them to turn out right.

I kind of wish we had gotten at least the six quart, because the five quart doesn’t hold much at all. It held about five onion rings, so we had to cook twice in order to get enough for both of us. However, we’re going to stick with this until we’re able to get a combo toaster/convection/air fryer oven where we’ll have more room to play with.

Other than it being kind of small, this air fryer meets our needs at present, and I’m looking forward to experimenting with more things, such as baking some cookies, and cooking hamburgers. I’m very happy with this air fryer, and I highly recommend it.

I have limited counter space and have used a small toaster oven for years instead of always turning on the big oven in my kitchen. Over the last six or so years, I’ve gone through four of the same toaster ovens that previously had lasted many years before needing a new one. The quality of the very well known brand has diminished significantly.

I had previously dismissed purchasing an air fryer because I thought it was just another unneeded kitchen gadget. After tossing out the fourth toaster oven in six years, I gave the Cosori Air Fryer Pro LE 5 quart a try.

It’s small in size, easy to clean, and shines above my toaster oven in almost all respects. I’ve just begun experimenting with different meal ideas and the results so far are very good. Maybe a real toaster (not a toaster oven or air fryer) would handle making toast a bit better, but I toasted a bagel yesterday morning and the results were very good. Of course, I reheated left over French fries from a restaurant which came out better than when I ate them in the restaurant. Baked potatoes are great! Chicken wings great! Salmon, burgers, so far are good. Next, I plan to try tossing some cut up veggies and cut up chicken breast for a quick meal. The air fryer is actually a very useful appliance. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

This was an excellent purchase. Very user friendly, easy to maintain and clean. The overall size of the COSORI Air Fryer 5 QT is perfect for small to large size cooking. I am not a fan of too many kitchen appliances but I will say that this is well worth the investment for what it does and the rewards that it yields to your time management, nutrition and economic needs. Overall design and color is sleek, and simple, a little more boxy for my taste and space availability but I am able to live with it for the benefits that it yields.

Food experimentation was successful each time. The lamb chops came out excellent although I would try a lower temperature to begin the cooking process and finish it with the preset temperature at a shorter interval. The steak fries was also an excellent tester that passed the experimentation. The giant prawns cooked to the exact specification of tenderness on the preset temperature for seafood. This appliance is powerful from the standpoint of its cooking ability. I can put the ingredients in an 20-30 minutes later its done to the perfection that I require without having to spare a moment to keep an eye on it while I am busy with another task.

I especially enjoy the fact that it is an easy to clean and maintain kitchen appliance. The basket is easy to clean even after it cools down and the crustiness from the food hardens. A quick soak in warm soapy water after the basket cools down and soft sponge does the trick. No residue of smell left in the pan at all. The inner housing can be easily wiped down with a damp cloth when the entire appliance cools down makes for easy maintenance – no more than 1 minute.

It does make a huge difference in the prep and cooking when you need a quick and healthy meal after a long day of work. The COSORI 5 quart was the best after looking at a plethora of other air fryers and also having tested with my sister’s (not COSORI brand). The cooking basket height and width is excellent – spacious cooking, especially if you like pans that give you room to maneuver the ingredients. The overall size of the appliance for the countertop would be slightly larger for a small kitchen with less countertop space but if you have room to spare you would hardly notice it taking up room; but for what this appliance does, I would say that the space issue becomes a non-issue.

The initial and subsequent cooking in the air fryer did not yield an odd smell that you would normally get from non-stick surfaces. I did follow the suggestion to preheat and I did it with a bowl of water-vinegar solution in the air fryer for about 20 min cycle two times. The price point for this appliance was reasonable especially for what you are getting. HIGHLY recommend this particular model of COSORI.

Oh my gosh, this is the greatest thing since sliced bread (yep, I’m over 70). I have been slightly skeptical about air fryers for a long time. I was looking for a toaster oven that did almost everything when I came across this COSORI Air Fryer, 5 QT, 9-in-1 Airfryer Compact Oilless Small Oven, Model Name CAF-L501-KUS, Dark Gray. I was intrigued. I read all of the descriptions and the reviews and thought why not give it a try. I had a substantial amount of Prime Rewards and thought I’d use some of them so I wouldn’t be out the total cost for this product and if I didn’t like it I could return it. That’ll never happen! I love this Air Fryer! It’s compact yet room for at least 4 chicken thighs; the 5 quart basket holds a good half pound of french fries and oh my gosh how they come out – better than restaurant fries. I’ve used it every day and continue to find wonderful things to cook in it: brussel sprouts, baked potatoes, chicken legs, asparagus, pork chops, and the list goes on. It’s very easy to use. I read the initial instructions and found the tempered glass display to be a breeze, it almost runs itself, it’s simple and well thought out. And it’s very quiet. The basket is non-stick and residue washes away easily. No oils necessary, but I found that on some things you may want to spray a little olive oil on the food. It cooks food in half the time and comes out wonderfully. It has a “shake” button to automatically lets you know that half through the cooking cycle, you need to ‘shake’ whatever you’re cooking; i.e., turn the chicken, shake the french fries, rotate the baked potato. And then when you reinsert the basket, the air fryer automatically resumes cooking.
It’s compact and really doesn’t take up much counter space and has a sleek look. If you’ve never used an air fryer before, I would suggest looking up Air Fryer Cooking Times on the internet because you’ll want a guide handy since cooking times are much different than the microwave or the regular oven. You’ll find that if you put chicken in the preheated air fryer and set the time for 30 minutes, you have to get all the other things you are going to enjoy for dinner prepared and ready because that finished signal comes up quickly. I’ve found that everything I prepare in it comes out perfectly cooked and succulent. It’s amazing and I’m a firm believer in this product. It’s the first I’ve ever tried air frying and I love it. Can’t wait to try a ton of recipes in this Cosori Air Fryer. I highly recommend it; you won’t be disappointed. Love it, love it, love it!

I’ve owned a number of different brands of Air Fryers over the past 10 years and it has been very hit or miss. I moved into a smaller place recently and wanted a new Air Fryer that was better suited for smaller spaces and not take up too much counterspace. I searched long and hard and decided on this one. There is another version of this one that is slightly smaller and is WiFi enabled. I elected to go with this one since I could not think of a situation that I would want to control this unit remotely (although you can see the WiFi indicator on the touch screen, it doesn’t light up and there is no WiFi functionality in this unit. I assume the control panel on the WiFi version is exactly the same or they plan to make this one WiFi enable in the future as the reason for it being there.

I’ve used it several times already to cook wings, fish, shrimp, and I even cooked a NY Strip in it (yep! I Air-Fried a steak… I know, I know… I said the same thing to myself that you are thinking while it was cooking), but to my surprise, using the preset worked like a charm. The steak was evenly cooked to a perfect medium well temp, just the way I like it. It was juicy, had a little char on the edges, tender and delicious (I cook a mean steak regardless). When I cooked the wings using the Chicken preset, I ended up adding additional time and increasing the temp since my previous experience with other Air Fryers indicated that the presets always undercook chicken, besides the fact that I like to flip them towards the end to ensure they are crispy all the around. The unit indicated 20 minutes @ 360 degrees. I changed it to 25 mins @390. At the end I flipped and added an additional 5 minutes for 10 wings and then after a total of 30 minutes Bam!!! Perfectly cooked chicken wings. I reduced the time by 5 minutes if I’m only cooking 5 wings or so. Pause at the 5 min remaining mark and flip. They come out just as crispy as if they were deep fried (non-battered wings) Now, 30 minutes is in no way faster than pan frying but waiting a little longer for healthier food is not a deal breaker in my book, especially if the food turns out good.

The unit has a number of presets including one for Fries that alerts you when it’s time to flip. I have not used that preset yet but found the presets on every Air Fryer I have owned, to be hit or miss.

Cleaning is a breeze. No, seriously, you cannot get any better than this. Simply let the unit cool. (DO NOT run it under water while it is hot, as it will warp the aluminum pan due to the rapidly changing temps which will also cause the Teflon coating to start to separate prematurely from the pan).

Remove the crisper tray and run it under water or use the sprayer and then gently wipe it with a wet sponge or dish cloth using just warm/hot water or a mild soap. The rubber ends are removable, but I just leave them on and clean around them. Rinse the pan and wipe the same way. This is the easiest Air Fryer to clean. The non-stick surface, like all other Teflon based coating will deteriorate over time or improper care, therefore, use silicone, Teflon based or wooded utensils in it to avoid scratching the surfaces.

It comes with no cookbook or any other accessories. There is an App that you can download that controls the Wifi version, but the App has dozens of recipes specific for use with both this model and the Wifi version.

It has an actual on/off button where most units need to be unplugged (I unplug it anyway since I don’t trust touchscreen automated electronic panels which when defective can cut the unit on by itself). It has a timer and a preheat option. You can pause the unit, so you don’t have to reset the temp/time if you open it to check on your food allowing you to continue once you close it (major plus). The outside of the unit does “not” get hot. The fan ports the hot air out of the rear and has a built-in guard to ensure you have space behind it so that it is not flush up against the wall. There is a startup process when you first get the unit. Following the instructions, you basically run through each setting and a few presets to familiarize yourself with it. You’ll run preheat which will burn off and residual oils left from production. Unlike MANY of the others I have own or tried, there is no burning plastic odor when this thing is running. I had a different brand with an oven door and trays instead of a pan, that smelled like burning plastic that didn’t go away until I THREW it away.

I chose this brand over so many others since I bought my daughter a previous model of the same brand. Since I have not heard a single complaint about it in 3 years’ time, I conclude that it is still running fine because she would not hesitate to call me and let me know how much she hates the piece of junk I bought for her for Christmas that one year.

Overall, I am happy with this unit, although it did cut off prematurely once during cooking, but has since operated fine. I’ve had it less than 30 days but so far so good. It seems well thought out in the engineering department. While I should probably return for the one glitch, it has likely been resolved once the unit was unplugged and plugged back in.

I highly recommend this unit if you are only cooking for 1-2 people. YMMV

We had never used an airfryer before but decided to try it. Wow we have really enjoyed it. We use it for veggies. They turn out crunchy and yummy. We have loved doing frozen foods in it like egg rolls. They cook in half the time. We like how easy this fryer is to use. It has plenty of room, is easy to clean, not too big or too small. It looks great on my counter. Very modern looking. The controls are on top and clear and easy. We are so glad we purchased this.
