This air fryer is compact and easy to use! Plus, I don’t have to scrub it to clean it; I can take a plain soapy sponge to the cooking plate and the inside of the fryer and rinse it! it lookes nice on my countertop and can cook for 2-3 people easily. It reheats pizza as if it were fresh, too.
It has bake, reheat, and air fry settings and the temp1

This is my first air fryer. I live alone and have a small kitchen, wanted something I could put away in a cabinet when not in use, and this fits the bill.

The fan noise is not a big deal (and when it’s cold I love holding my hands next to the exhaust vent for the warm air), it had a plasticky smell the first 2-3 times I used it (I did wash the basket before use), but now it smells fine. Cleaning is a breeze – I spray the basket with water vigorously right after cooking and that’s usually enough. Some things, like roasting drippy tomatillos, burned the juice to the bottom. A quick soak and then a wipe with a sponge and it was clean again.

So far everything I’ve cooked I’ve just done at 400 (the air fry temperature), but it’s easy to change the temperature and the time. I like the “food turn” beeps around 2/3 of the way through the time as well as when it’s preheated and when it’s done.

The basket is too short to roast a whole red bell pepper (even after removing the tray from the basket), but cutting the pepper in half and putting foil under it worked great. I’ve also roasted thinner chiles whole (hatch, anaheim, jalapeno, pasilla), and it doesn’t set off my fire alarm the way my broiler does, while still cooking the whole chiles enough that the skin blackened and came right off.

Other successes: roasting nuts, baking pie crust cookies, falafel, broccoli (had to learn to put the stems in way early and only put the florets in at the end because they’ll burn), roasting garlic or onions or tomatillos, crisping up tofu, sweet potato fries, butternut squash.

So far I haven’t used any recipes for time and temperature – I’ve done everything at 400 and put it on for 20 minutes and just keep checking it for doneness until I figure out what works. I think I’m going to try caramelizing bananas next.

This thing is fun! I can’t make enough sweet potato fries as I want in a single batch, but I can make as many as I should probably eat in one sitting. It’s plenty big enough to make as much broccoli as I want, go figure.

Haven’t tried anything but frozen foods thus far. The salmon burger turned out perfectly.

I was very disappointed that the 100 In-App Recipes and APP are no longer available and no warranty …
It does what it says and that is good but ….

I’m comparing this to my previous air fryer that was a different brand.
This Instant vortex makes the food much crisper.
It has more bells and whistles (beeps, really) that are meant to be helpful and probably are, but I could live without them–def not a deal breaker.
This model preheats every time you cook–then beeps when it reaches the temp you set; my last one didn’t.
This one beeps and signals when it’s halfway thru the cook time and notifies you to turn the food; my last one didn’t.
All in all, I’m pleased with this because the bottom line is CRISPY! Looks nice too, not too bulky. Slope top decreases some of the volume of the unit. Also, I like the dial—-easier to use than constantly pressing a pad to get to time and temp.

I went from cooking for five to cooking for one several years ago & it has been a struggle! My friends & family have been telling me for years about their air fryers & how much they love them so I really don’t know why it took me so long to finally buy one myself. This thing is amazing! It has replaced my oven & my outdoor grill. So far, I have cooked chicken, fajitas, burgers & even frozen hot dogs and everything has turned out perfectly! Cooking chicken has always been a 50/50 chance of it coming out undercooked or dry, but I’ve cooked several different cuts of chicken in my air fryer & it has turned out juicy & fully cooked every single time. Hell, I’ve surprised myself how good everything has turned out! My only regret is that I didn’t buy one of these magical little machines sooner! I purchased the mini. It fits perfectly under the cabinets on my kitchen counter & doesn’t take up a whole lot of space. Oh yeah, it is super easy to clean also, which is a big plus!! My only suggestion is that if you’re cooking for more than one, you really will need the full size air fryer unless you don’t mind cooking in batches. I highly recommend this amazing little machine though! You will not regret it!

I usually don’t get into kitchen gadgets, but was excited for this after hearing so many good things about air frying. This item didn’t take up a lot of room, was a good price & with good ratings. Wasn’t hard to figure out how to operate but good grief, took FOREVER to get rid of weird new-appliance smell when cooking. Wiped down basket & interior then washed basket well, ran several empty cycles with windows open, cooked trial food, cleaned again…no luck. Finally found a suggestion in a Reddit sub to run 3 cycles at 400 for 15 min each with a bowl of vinegar & water in a bowl. Did this, cleaned again and FINALLY, success! Of course the manual did not mention any of this, lol. Anyway – much better now; cooking all kinds of things at this point. I like that the outside isn’t hot when I go to pull out the basket, the simplicity of the controls, visibility of display. Sits nicely in a metal stand & does not heat up stuff around it. As others have mentioned, have to set your own timer to turn food halfway through because the automatic timer is apparently stuck at 3 min. Just know that serving size really is 1-2 people, no more. Recommend but just be prepared that it may not be awesome right out of the gate & it may take a little work to really get going.

I like the size and color (red), looks good in my small kitchen, SS well as functionality is easy and fast.

    10. Dman

Every new airfryer I’ve used had a bit of a smell the first few uses from manufacturing oils and what not but this still smells every single time I use it. Other than that it works as intended.
