I bought this in March 2024 and have used it almost daily. There was a strong plastic-rubber smell at first, but it was easily removed by putting vinegar in an 8-oz ramekin and “cooking” it in the AF at 250 for 20 minutes. I did this twice on the back porch.
I’ve used every setting so far but the roast setting, and everything has turned out great! One of my favorite ways to use it is to “hard boil” eggs … NO WATER! I put 6 eggs in the basket and cook at 270 for 16 minutes. When the timer goes off, I put the eggs in ice water for two minutes. They easily peel and I have boiled eggs all week for avocado toast, salads, deviled eggs, or a quick snack.
I have a small kitchen, so real estate is valuable. This slim style fits perfectly in my baking station area. The basket is rectangular and deep. It’s like putting two 3-qt baskets end to end. It works GREAT for bacon and pork tenderloin without having to cut. So far, so good…… I recommend 👍

We had it for a couple of months. I made food with it after the factory-recommended setup. Terrible, horrible, nauseating, sickening burning plastic stink every time it is turned on. There are some Utube suggestions to fix the stink, such as washing it and running the airfry function @ 400 degrees for 60 minutes. We did this repeatedly at the cost of making everybody feel nauseous. The stink is still with us. We are considering simply giving up, and throwing it into the garbage where it most likely belongs.

I love this thing. I use it so much. It gets frozen chicken fingers perfectly done. And i found my new favorite way to reheat pizza. Speaking of which, it has more settings than just air-fry, but that is the one i use almost exclusively. I don’t use the liners, so the ease of cleaning is really important. the bottom grate lifts right out and goes in the dishwasher, the the drawer itself is hand-clean, unless you take it apart, but the nonstick coating makes it easy. The footprint is smaller than i expected. Similar to my Instant pot, but rectangular instead of round. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with the counter space.

I have a dual Ninja Foodi, which I love, but I was looking for something with more individual surface area so I can cook in summer without having to use my oven. After reading a lot of independent reviews, along with the Amazon reviews, I bought this one.

The smell. Oh wow, the smell. I had read all the reviews talking about the smell and I thought I could deal with that new appliance/electronics smell but with this air fryer it’s extremely pungent. I cooked a whole chicken in it and thankfully the smell didn’t transfer to the food. All the same, my kitchen still stinks the next day. I hope it will wear off over time. I hope Instant looks into this particular issue because if they resolve it, it’s definitely a five star product.
