My husband was not a fan of the Keurig Duo I had, and finally we decided to get a new coffee maker. I’ve had Ninja coffee bar before and liked it. So when I saw this new model on sale, I decided to try this one. Everything works as expected. My husband was happy that he finally got back the heated plate to keep his coffee warmer longer in the morning. I have not noticed the dripping / leaking issue as mentioned by many other reviews, but I do have a slight complaint about the noise level when it’s working. Especially early in the morning, when it’s quiet, the noise of pumping water, dripping, heating, seems so loud. Not a huge deal, but it’s a tiny con to me.

As described and expected. I would buy again.

I got rid of the Keurig and replaced it with this. It is perfect and makes awesome coffee!
HOWEVER it does from time to time (NOT all the time) spill a little when pouring. I am thinking it must be my speed at pour or the way I tilt it as it only does it on on occasion.
I would still highly recommend this.

This was a replacement for my Cuisin*rt perfect temp 14 cup coffee maker. So comparing it to that. Great slim profile, smaller than the Cuisin*rt. Also, love the refillable tank! But that is where it lost a star. The tank seems to be designed to carry with one hand when full, with 70 ounces of water. But you can’t. You need both hands. Here is where I wish they had a pop out handle or something with better gripping for one hand usage. Still, great coffee, slightly faster than normal brew times, Bold setting works, and there is barely a dribble when pouring. Like, you need to be pouring really fast to get a dribble. This is awesome to anyone that hates that dribble all over the counter and clothes. It is feature rich. Although, the Cuisen*rt did have replaceable water filters for the water in the machine, which I do wish this had. So far I am happy with it.

I purchased this Ninja coffee pot recently, and I must admit, it has pleasantly surprised me with its efficient performance and unwavering reliability. As a self-proclaimed coffee aficionado, I have tried my fair share of coffee makers, and the Ninja brand certainly lives up to its reputation of delivering high-quality products.

The coffee pot’s build quality is commendable, boasting a sturdy construction that exudes durability. The sleek design, coupled with the stainless steel finish, adds a touch of sophistication to my kitchen countertop – a small but appreciated detail. I liked the color copper especially.

The automatic features of this coffee pot makes it a convenient addition to my morning routine. The programmable timer allows me to set it the night before, ensuring a fresh pot of coffee greets me each morning. Gone are the days of waiting in line or fumbling through complex brewing methods – the Ninja coffee pot simplifies the process, allowing me to enjoy my cup of joe with minimal effort.

The versatility of this coffee pot is worth noting as well. With various brew sizes available, I can cater to my coffee needs, whether I’m craving a single cup or brewing a full carafe for guests. The inclusion of a reusable filter adds value, both in terms of reducing waste and saving money on disposable filters.

Maintaining the Ninja coffee pot is a breeze, and its user-friendly design makes cleaning less of a chore. The removable water reservoir and filter basket are dishwasher-safe, while the self-cleaning cycle ensures that the machine remains in optimal condition without requiring excessive effort on my part.

I liked it so much I ordered another one for decaf.

Looks great, works great. No complaints. I didn’t notice before buying that even on the rose gold model, which I bought, the handle is still stainless steel. The handle seems to mismatch the rest of the set-up. Not sure why they wouldn’t make the handle rose gold to match. But it’s nothing major.

This is an improvement from the Cuisinart that it’s replacing. Previous maker leaked from the carafe and had a completely rusted out bottom, indicating months of slow leaking. Removable water reservoirs is very convenient.
Like many others, I was getting a lot of dribble when pouring, mostly the first few cups. Not a little drip-drop, more like a couple of tablespoons all over the counter for each cup poured. Not every time though, so I kind of figured it was me, and how slow or fast I was pouring. FRUSTRATING.

I put some thought into the dribble / leaking issue, and got it resolved. For those of you still suffering with a messy counter top or table, look at the attached photo. Right on the outer edge of the pour spout, there can be a rough edge. It’s a residual built up ridge of plastic leftover from when the part came out of the mold, and clearly does not affect all units. I initially used my fingernail to “scrape” the lip down, and pouring suddenly became 75% better. A little extra-fine sand paper, or a scrape from a razor knife took down the rest. Suddenly…no more dribble.
After that, I’m right back to loving the flavor and richness of the coffee.
The “Rich” setting takes a while to brew, which is purpose of the button. The coffee is worth waiting for.
The programming is a little less than intuitive, but I’ll keep the instructions nearby for a few years.

Overall, a great 14 cup maker once the quality control issue is resolved.

I like this coffee maker quite a bit. Except for one thing. It makes good coffee and it keeps it hot. BUT that one thing is this: it has a “mid-brew pause” function which works very badly. I NEED a coffee maker that allows you to take the pot out and pour some (strong) coffee before the whole pot has brewed. This is supposed to do that. One would expect that it would do that without dripping all over the hot plate (and evaporating instantly because of the heat and leaving residue on the hot plate. One wouldn’t expect it to drip even a little. This doesn’t do that without dripping, sometimes a lot, sometimes a little less.

The issue is the plastic cone inside the body of the coffee maker (the cone inside of which you put either the permanent filter or a paper filter). That cone has a spring-loaded “button” at the bottom of it which releases the coffee into the carafe when the pot is in place — and it stops (or is SUPPOSED to stop) the coffee when you pull the pot out. The spring on that cone obviously doesn’t have the correct tension, so it causes leakage.

I called Ninja/Shark about this. The call took a long time, and they wanted me to allow them to watch and listen to a live video on my cell phone while I made some coffee, etc., so they could “troubleshoot.” That was going to take even longer. And not only did the person I talked with not believe that the cone spring is bad (they could have just sent me a new one very easily; end of story). But she actually suggested that a little dripping was to expected. Are you kidding me? I’ve had at least three Cuisinart coffeemakers and they never dripped when you took the pot out mid-brew. (I probably should have stuck with Cuisinart). I did not have time to go through what the customer service person wanted.

So I returned the unit. I’m ordering a new one to see if that one is better/the way it’s supposed to be. If it isn’t, I’ll assume that the Ninja has a manufacturing defect, and I’ll turn to another brand (maybe Cuisinart again).

Update: the second Ninja unit I ordered also dripped, so I returned that one too. (And I went back to using my old Cuisinart, which is still quite serviceable.)

This coffee maker makes so much danged coffee. Once I got my recipe right, this is good coffee as well. I read some other reviewer complaining about the carafe dripping. Once I got the machine, I tested it. I intentionally tried to make it drip. Nope. This is a good wide-mouth carafe and spilling or dripping has been eliminated. I am a big fan of the copper look. Scheduling is really easy.

The carafe absolutely does NOT drip, maybe I was lucky but I just did not have that problem like a lot if reviews say. it’s such a breeze to use the machine and carafe. Makes delicious coffee. Looks sleek and beautiful. My only two complaints which are not bad enough to took a star were: you can’t put the water in tank all the way because it uses all during one brew so you have to pour required amount for 1-4 cup (ify you want 2 cups fill it up to 2 cups line, if you want 4, fill it up to 4 line)or it does not stop by itself after it fills to your desired amount. Second we are two person household and the carafe is too large for both of us and you cannot use any other container. But i love the carafe and cleaning is easy so that’s okay.

I bought the Ninja coffee maker for the programmable feature. It really makes good, hot coffee and is easy to program. I got the 14 cup size since we make a pot every morning and pour it into a thermal carafe to drink throughout the day where it stays very hot. It is easy to make less if desired but nice to have the option for more. It looks great on my counter, does not take up too much space and can be pushed under the cabinets after brewing. I brew it on the rich cycle which makes a delicious and smooth cup of rich coffee, not at all bitter. I have found that I can use less coffee, six level scoops for twelve cups, than in our previous coffee maker, saving us money. The included attached scoop is very handy. I drink my coffee black and I do not like weak coffee so I am very happy with this ratio. The sprayer head evenly moistens the grounds so there aren’t any dry spots in the basket. The higher temperature really extracts the most flavor from the beans. I program it at night so I do not have to wait for the coffee to be made. I do use the paper filters rather than the included gold filter, personal preference, since our coffee is finely ground and I do not want any bits of coffee in my mug. I haven’t even tried the gold filter, so it may work perfectly. I plan to clean it monthly since we are using good well water rather than filtered water, which is recommended. The cleaning process is simple and it has a cleaning cycle. I use white vinegar as recommended. Daily I rinse out the carafe, filter basket and water container and leave them upside down to drain which another reviewer recommended. I want to take good care of this machine since we value good coffee. I did get the 4 year warranty since I know coffee makers don’t last too long. Hopefully this Ninja will hold up!
