I purchased this about four months ago. While it DOES make a steaming cup of coffee, the electronics are difficult to use. I am not talking about them being complicated. The buttons themselves are not very responsive. I like the metal basket and it does keep the coffee very hot. Unfortunately, that’s how it was when the carafe shattered all over the place the other day when my husband picked it up to pour some coffee. It’s lucky no one was seriously hurt, but it’s a serious flaw. I have seen other reviews where the same thing has occurred. Braun needs to correct this asap, as well as the clean feature, which comes on after just a couple days of use.
Edit: not two weeks after I purchased a replacement pot, that shattered as well. I am disabled, so moving quickly isn’t my forte… Luckily I wasn’t seriously hurt. Until they upgrade this pot, I am changing my rating to one star.

This 14 cup coffeemaker is rather large (preferred 12 cup), but I wanted white so I chose this model. It works well, but set up is guided by a one page manual with one sentence of instruction at most, and pictures to guide the use. While the product works well, I found the brew to be so so and for the price, I would not purchase another one by Braun. The quality of the coffeemaker itself is good, but others would have been just as good with a lower price point. As for the manual, I went to the website to see if there was more operation instructions, but they show the exact one page with pictures. Not all the functions are covered, but I will keep it—just would not recommend it for this reason.

Update. I called Braun Customer service. They are sending another one! -Said it has a 3 year warranty.
At the 1 year mark, displayed error code E1. Internal problems that can only be fixed by a professional. This thing is too expensive to break down at exactly

We’ve always had Mr Coffee or Cuisinart coffeemakers. This is our first Braun and it’s fantastic. Very easy to program and even on the medium setting, our coffee is plenty hot. This makes a delicious brew. We are very impressed!

I used to have a Mr Coffee Automatic Drip 8-12C Coffee Maker which served me well for over a decade but it started having issues in that the Teflon Coating on the Keep Warm Plate started cracking and Flaking off during repeated cleanings with a soft sponge. This lead to the exposed metal of the Keep Warm Plate beginning to rust. The rust lead to a countless multitude of micro scratches in the form of parallel lines of arc about a third of the way round the bottom of the glass carafe because every time I poured a cup, I always placed the carafe back on the Keep Warm Plate and rotated the carafe to position the handle out of the way to the right. I became concerned that if I bumped the carafe on anything , that it might develop a stress crack all the way through the glass which would eventually extend and cause the carafe to shatter as the Carafe was used again and again if I didn’t catch it right away. Time for a new Coffee Maker. I chose this one and made my first pot of coffee with it by selecting the BOLD Brew Option, and all I can say is WOW!!! I never knew what I was missing out on! Same Folgers Classic Roast. Same Water Source. Different Coffee Maker; and WOW!!! I don’t know about cleaning it yet. Today is simply DAY ONE, and WOW!!! I love that it has a FOUR HOUR Auto Shut off as compared to my old CM’s 2 hr. I love that it has a built-in Cleaning cycle! Braun has seriously thought about the customer when they went to work designing this model! All I can say is WOW!!!

Love the flavor but cannot stand that it never is hot. Controls are difficult and the auto on proved worthless, so I just turn it on myself rather than have fresh brewed coffee when I awake.

I Love this 14 cup Braun coffee maker…. Does not leak when you pour 👍 Love the features that are programmable. Easy to follow instructions for setting the clock. Have already been through one cleaning cycle 👍. The best thing about this Braun…. It makes Great coffee 😁.
Always read and follow the directions for set up and programs (if you use) . I find that All electronics 🤔 or programs can be frustrating at first… But, if you read and follow their instructions, even if you fail at first…. You can redo it. Except when it’s in cleaning mode, have your spare water pitcher handy. Makes it easier to finish the job.
I especially love the look and style of the Braun coffee maker. I use the reusable filter it came with and love it. No more paper filters.
Most of All 😁 I have extra coffee for my afternoon break 😂 without brewing another pot.
Would definitely recommend to anyone and I’ll definitely purchase another one in time when needed.

Just using for the 1st time and extremely dislike the buttons to control temp, clock and water harshness. The buttons shouldn’t be so hard to push and why make it so complicated. I should be able to just push the temp button and control the temp without almost straining myself. Extremely frustrating!
