I had an earlier version. It worked great, until it didn’t, but was a pain to figure out how much water for the single serve side. This one remedies that by having a 56oz reservoir. Some have complained about no fill window for the carafe side, but that’s not a problem. I just fill the pot with my desired amount of water, pour it in. Works fine. My husband likes the carafe coffee and I like the pods. It works for both of us. My only complaint is that the single serve side, is not quite as hot as I prefer. I really like the serving size option. It would be nice if an eight ounce size would be strong enough, but that’s not the coffee makers fault. It’s the pod makers. I like the taste using the 6 oz selection. Just me.

This is the second purchase for the same reason. The Kcup side stops working and gives me the “overload error” message. The first one I just thought was a faulty coffee pot because it worked for about a month before that happened. Replaced the coffee pot and have enjoyed using the Kcup side since February, until today. Now I’m getting the same problem as before. Obviously it is not just a faulty pot. After seeing others having the same problem I decided to see if I could fix the problem. In the top of the Kcup side you can slide it to the unluck position, slide the rubber gasket off and gently pull the grey piece out. That the where it is clogged. I took a sturdy, thin piece of wire and poked out the gunk stuck in the piercing piece. Ran the Kcup side again and now it is running. For now. Guess this is what will need to be done every so often. At least now I know it can be fixed and not have to throw a $100 plus coffee pot out.

I live by myself and have made approx 15 cups of coffee with this machine. It stopped working, and POPPED UP with “OVERLOAD” on the screen.
So, I have found that different k cup maker grind differently and the ones that are ground too fine can clog the nozzle. So like my kurig about every other time I fill the water, I run a cup of just water and seems to clean it out. Also, done forget to us “distilled” water to keep from clogging up the entire thing. I use a coffee maker descaler about ever 2 or 3 months. My last single cup brewer lasted 22 years

It does brew coffee, but the coffee often ends up all over. This problematic characteristic is present in both the carafe side and the single serve. It actually functioned normally for a month or so. Then the side that brewed pods began malfunctioning. (At first I thought something was wrong with those particular pods.) Then the coffee grounds started coming out of the liner a small amount and now we’re having to do a complete rinse of all the internal parts after a pot of coffee is brewed, as well as the pot, which also contains a significant amount of escaped grounds). We brew our own coffee everyday and have used various brands over the years. Our last coffee pot was fine but we also had a Keurig and I wanted a combo to save counter space. I chose this in an attempt to not spend as much money as Keurig brand combos are going for. Based on reviews, enough people seemed to be happy with this model. Unfortunately, it was a gamble that didn’t pay off for me and the return window is closed.

I got my maker late Oct, a few days over 30 days it got “OVER LOAD” Error. I had to email Hamilton Beach, it took them 28 days to get me a machine.. They mailed one to wrong address!! So I finally got a new machine! 3 cups SAME ERROR!! You NEVER SPEAK to anyone!! They tell me to inplug take apart the machine clean with paper clips and plug back in. That isn’t working! So they finally sent the 4th coffee maker it was mailed to wrong address, I got in car… it’s down the street I got it this time!! THIS COFFEE POT HAS DESIGN ISSUES. Nobody should have to take a brand new pot apart and use a paper clip and plug back in!! And there is NO GROUNE PLUG !! DISASTER!!!
      DONT BUY THIS MODEL!!!

Great coffee pot. Makes a delicious HOT cup of coffee, however the pod side is not quite as hot. Like the fact that you have so many choices. I do have concerns as to whether or not the filter will last as I t is made of a very fine mesh like material.
Good value, and most parts can go right into the dishwasher.

Update: I emailed the company, they told me to send it to them and they’d send me a new one within 10 ti 15 days after receiving my machine. I emailed back asking them what I was supposed to do for coffee during those 20 or so days and they never responded.. that was over a week ago.

The pot of coffee part is fine but the single cup side is the worst! It says overload EVERYTIME we try to make a single cup and it melts the K cups! So not only does it always “overload” but all the coffee grounds gets into the cup.. waste of money unless your only going to be making a whole pot of coffee.

I love the easy versatility of the Hamilton Beach 49915 FlexBrew. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, and I can make a cup or whole pot quickly! The individual cup size has multiple choices up to 14oz and The BOLD feature (which I was skeptical about) really works. It takes a little longer to brew a bold cup or pot, but it’s totally worth the minimal extra time for a stronger Cuppa Joe. You can brew KCups or use your own fresh ground. The coffee pot has a mesh basket, so you don’t need a paper filter, though it does make clean up a little faster with the paper filter. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Very excited to find this coffee maker in a like new condition. Was able to save a good amount of money buying it used. Unfortunately it was missing two of the brewing pieces for the single brewer side. Upon plugging it in and trying it out, I started with the 12 cup carafe side first and that worked just fine, but the single cup side didn’t work at all. My old coffee machine pieces fit the machine but it wasn’t heating up the water or dispensing more than 2oz of cold water. Really disappointed. I will be returning this
