For someone who does not drink a lot of coffee and didn’t want to take up a lot of counter space / didn’t want to spend a lot of money… This is perfect and exactly what I was looking for. Quick, easy to use, and you don’t ever have to worry about running out of filters!

I hate any k cups or pods for coffee. I like to control how strong I want my coffee in the morning. I was looking for a single serve machine that could allow me to do that and this one is perfect!!!! Simple drip cup coffee but with the plus of grounds. The filter is easy to clean and it allows for 16oz cups. So worth it!! It comes out hot too

This small coffee maker is perfect for having just 1-2 mugs of coffee. The measurement lines for water and the measurement scoop for the coffee are fantastic 1 button press and you’re all set! I also like that this machine doesn’t beep when you plug it in since there’s no clock or anything to program. I haven’t tried the iced setting but I’m not sure there would be a significant difference between that and the hot coffee setting. No more wasted coffee or forgotten coffee pots and since you are only making a cup or two it doesn’t take as long to brew.

I almost exclusively drink my coffee iced. I had my doubts about the “cooling” mechanism this coffee maker seems to have but I didn’t wanna dish out more money for one that does cold brew so I bought it anyway. Twice now I’ve tried to make iced coffee, I filled the tumbler to the water line on the cup, poured it, then filled it to the top with ice, then pressed the “over ice button” I come back once it’s done, and ALL the ice is melted, and just left lukewarm coffee. I’m disappointed but at the same time if I don’t have cold brew then I usually just put ice in hot coffee anyway. I even looked at the directions again to see if the water line is how much you’re supposed to put in there with ice in it, ergo I was putting too much water in before since I did the ice after. Nope, the directions say to fill it with water then put the ice in after pouring it. So… I don’t know, I’ve seen pictures of the coffee in the tumbler with ice still in it like it barely melted so maybe it’s something wrong with mine? I’m gonna keep it and just put like half the amount of water then see what amount of water will keep all the ice from melting. Since you use more coffee grounds for the iced coffee, making it stronger, it’s kinda meant to be watered down a bit anyway. If you’re picky about your iced coffee then just get a cold brew. I just wanted to let everyone know that it will just melt all your ice.

Update: tried experimenting ways to not melt all the ice, and found a system that works. I use cold refrigerated water from my filtered water pitcher, not room temperature water. I also use slightly less water than at the fill line. Doing these 2 things prevents the ice melting all the way and you get a decent amount of ice at the end, so I’m happy with my purchase now yay

Let’s start with the negative because it isn’t ALL that bad. Really, my grievances are with the tumbler provided. For starters, it is not dishwasher safe so that is automatically an issue for me. With three people in the house doing dishes, I am forced to wash it immediately for fear that someone else is going to put the cup in the dishwasher. It also leaks really badly. The seal on the lid is terrible. You can’t tilt the cup at all unless you want a shift full of coffee.

Onto the good. This is the best 30 coffee maker I have ever bought! It is simple to use. It brews quickly and everything is really easy to clean. I like how small it is because it doesn’t take up a lot of space on the counter. That means I can have both my full-pot coffee maker out for the weekends one when I want to lounge with a pot and this one out at the same time! It just tucks into the corner. The brews are the same strength whether they brew hot or cold. I personally feel the scoop suggestions are too big but that probably depends on the coffee you are using. I use the smaller scoop for my coffee because I use a really dark french roast. That seems to work perfectly for me. I would suggest you try the big scoop as instructions call for the first time, but experiment with your coffee. The big scoop is about what I use to brew a whole pot in my other maker. Pro tip number 2! Prep your coffee ahead. Load the water, load the beans, then put your tumbler (a better one that is dishwasher safe) in the freezer with ice and a little honey syrup. Then all you have to do in the morning is hit brew!

The most important thing a coffee maker needs to do is brew great coffee. This machine is shockingly good in that regard! Took it out of the box, washed it up, and ran a couple cycles of water through it to flush it out. Ground some French roast at a medium-fine setting (25 on my Rancilio Rocky) put two scoops of coffee in, filled the water reservoir, and two minutes later I was enjoying a really great cup of coffee. I usually drink Aeropress, occasionally Chemex or V60 pour over. The coffee from this machine is roughly comparable to those in quality – different of course, but not markedly worse. It’s certainly far better coffee than my full-size Cuisenart drip coffee maker can produce.

Only two criticisms really. I ordered a black unit and I received a blue coffee maker with a faux marble base. Since it’s going to the office that’s not such a big deal, but if I was buying it for my kitchen I’d return it for a replacement. Also, it would be nice if there was a stand to hold shorter mugs a few inches higher and avoid splashing. This coffee maker is really designed for tall mugs or tumblers.

Ergonomics and thoughtful design touches: Scoop holder in the side of the unit is very convenient. Water reservoir capacity markings make it easy to fill straight from the Brita once you know much your mug holds. The lid folds well out of the way making it easy to fill with coffee and water. Everything is super easy to clean.

Coffee brewing: Fast! Heats quickly and gets straight to brewing. Depending on grind, the brew cycle will take 2-3 minutes which is just about optimal. The water temperature is just under boiling and is spot on for making a well-extracted cup of coffee. The reusable filter is great and replacements are readily available.

If you want to ditch the pods and easily brew single servings of great drip coffee this is the way.

I like that I can make hot or iced coffee with this maker. I’ve done both and both tasted great. I used 8 o’clock coffee. You have to use measured coffee, not K cups. It comes with a double sided measuring spoon that clips in to the side of the maker. It clearly marks which side of the measuring spoon to use for either hot or iced coffee. Also comes with a large plastic cup with a straw for iced coffee. The cup is clearly marked for the amount of ice that is needed. My husband loves his new birthday coffee maker. I’ve made both hot and iced coffee. Sure beats our instant coffee that we have been making for years.

We bought this for our camper because I wanted something that didn’t take up a whole lot of space, but was still faster and easier to clean than an electric water kettle and french press. Overall, I love it, but it has a couple drawbacks which may or may not be a dealbreaker to someone, so here’s my pros and cons:

      PROS:
-Slim design lets me tuck it in the corner of the counter so I’m not sacrificing precious space in the camper.
-FAST. Just as fast as brewing with a Keurig, without having to buy the pods
-Easy to use. There’s only two buttons: Hot or Iced. the amount of water you put in the reservoir is how much coffee you’re going to get. I just fill up whatever cup I’m going to be drinking out of with water and use that to fill the reservoir. Also, the included scoop has easy measurements based on how many ounces you’re brewing and whether its hot or iced.
-Easy to clean. Just dump out your grounds and rinse out the filter
-More affordable than a Keurig, in both the machine itself and the coffee you use (no pods!)
-Brews both hot and iced coffee (of course, that’s why we’re here!)

      CONS:
-If you’re brewing back to back cups, you want to wait 10 mins or so for it to cool down some between brews. 1.)The filter is still really hot, so pulling it out to clean it right away is difficult. 2.) the heating element in the reservoir is still hot, and is now not covered by water, so when you go to pour new water in, the water steams and splashes back up and can burn you (happened to me a couple times)
      – I think the iced coffee function could use some tweaking. I’ve had ones made on the Keurig, and the ice keeps, and my drink stays cold for quite a while. With this one, I feel like my ice melts too quickly and I’m left with a watered down coffee, even in my Yeti cup. Both this and the Keurig start out brewing the coffee hot, and then switch to cold as to not melt the ice. I think the timing/temperature ratio is off on this one and it goes too hot for too long. There could be other factors in play here that have nothing to do with the machine, but based on what I’ve compared, they just come out different.

Overall, I really like this coffee maker, and if I ever need to replace it down the road, I will probably buy it again. I think it’s a great alternative to the Keurig, both in cost and waste since it’s not using pods. We use it mostly for hot coffee, so the drawbacks in the iced coffee function aren’t a huge deal for us.

Just got this machine last night on a one day delivery and had my first two cups today. So far, so good!

Quick brew of hot coffee, exactly what I was hoping for. I haven’t made a cold brew yet but the provided cup seems pretty heavy duty so I’m looking forward to that. The included recipe book for cold brews is handy and they even included a coupon for some of the mix stuff, though I’m sure you can make it with normal creamers as well.

There is a coffee ground measuring cup that fits into the side of the unit. I thought I liked strong coffee but only cow – the diagram shows to use a rounded scoop and I don’t think I’ll need to curl my hair for a month, lol.

Only two negatives. I ran through a vinegar and water solution before using it (for cleaning) and right after lifted the top and poured in fresh cool water to give it a rinse without giving the machine time to cool. It sputtered and steamed out of the top. It could have caused burns, so if you’re going to perk two cups in rapid succession, be warned. Second (and this is very minor), when using a standard mug, it has a little bit of drip spatter. I’m not familiar with single type drip machines and this may be normal. It isn’t enough to be a big deal for me, just a few little drops to wipe up.

Overall, I highly recommend this unit at first use. I’ll update my review if anything major pops up!
