This microwave is a space saver and stylish to look at. It is very intuitive to use. The only thing I don’t love about it is the turntable seems to be too easy to get off the track.

Cook’s Country recommended this microwave during a product review on their show. It was a top favorite. It has become my favorite too. It is a slightly smaller model overall but accommodates a large dinner plate. It has all the basic functions one would want in a microwave. At 1200 watts, it is perfect for reheating any foods. We love the soft closing door feature as well. With a simple nudge, the door closes itself on a soft spring. No more loud banging noises. Totally worth the price.

Quality product, compact, soft close door, cooks evenly. I need to figure out how to set the controls but so far it seems fairly easy. Looks nice in my kitchen too. I recommend!

I have numerous Breville products which are usually reliable, but I am not happy with this microwave. After 10 months the clock starting to run 45 seconds fast for each minute, so that in 10 minutes it was already 8 minutes ahead. A few days later, the power is decreased, as it takes 7 minutes to heat a bowl of soup compared to the 2 minutes it did before. Even worse was Breville customer service. I called and was on hold for an hour before giving up. I opened a ticket and after 10 days of hearing nothing, called again. I then selected the “call me back” option and received a call 3 hours later. The service rep was patient with me, but also had me search for the serial number which I said was on a sticker on the back, but she kept disagreeing and insisting it was imprinted on the bottom of the microwave. After pulling it out, emptying it, and flipping it upside down and finding no number, she kept insisting. I emailed her a picture of the bottom, and the sticker I had found initially. What do you know, the number was on the sticker I first thought it was. Next I had to send her a proof of purchase, but despite giving her two email addresses to send a form to, I received neither. I uploaded a copy to the case I had opened. She approved the exchange, but I have to receive a shipping label (by the email that still hasn’t worked,) take it to UPS, ship it, and wait for them to receive it and ship me a new one. So provided I drop it off immediately after writing this review, it will be 10-14 days of receiving a new one. I’m not sure about you guys, but I use my microwave numerous times a day. I asked to talk with a supervisor, to which she replied “I’d have to escalate the case.” Um, ok so escalate it! She said one would call me back in 48-72 hours….

When our old microwave finally bit the dust, my main requirement for a replacement (other than heating up food, obvs) was that it was quiet. We live in a very open concept house and the old microwave was both noisy when it was running and beeped loud enough to wake the dead (or at least someone who was asleep at midnight when someone else just “had” to have their precious popcorn). This Breville is not only super low volume when operating, but you can also mute all beeps—you just have to remember you were cooking something. I anticipate that one day, I’ll open it up to find a cold breakfast sandwich from the day before because I forgot about it and my very considerate Breville did what I asked and cooked it in sweet, sweet silence.

Oh, and that quiet-close door action? Let me count the ways I love thee. Breville somehow figured out the magic of IKEA’s quiet-close drawers and replicated it in this microwave door.

It is pretty compact, there’s not much more space inside beyond fitting a dinner plate on the turnstile, but that hasn’t been a problem yet. If you’re trying to cook a Thanksgiving turkey or something, this won’t do the trick, but also, use an oven if you’re cooking a turkey, man.

Style wise, I love the dial used to adjust time, power, and quantity for quick cook items. I thought I would miss having a numeric keypad but I totally don’t. Now there’s no going back. I want a numeric dial on everything. I want one for my phone (just kidding, that would be ridiculous). But seriously, it is nice—very tactile with just a hint of resistance as you spin your way to five minutes or whatever, and it took no time getting used to.

This microwave is the quietest. The door is soft close, so its quiet. There’s a mute button so that it doesn’t beep when you press buttons or when its done. And when its on its about as loud as a fridge or an air conditioner. Perfect for midnight snacks, early morning breakfast sandwiches, or making popcorn in the middle of a movie! You aren’t going to disturb anyone with this microwave.

My Mini-600 Watt .5 cu ft microwave died after 20 years, so I was initially looking for a cheap $70 dollar-range microwave to replace it, but when I saw this I knew this was exactly what I needed, and it was definitely worth the extra money. First, I LOVE the way it looks, it’s modern and clean looking and fits in my kitchen perfectly. The 2nd thing I love is the dial/knob to set the time, turn gently right and it starts at 30 seconds, and you can dial in any exact time within seconds, or just press the green button to add 30 second increments. The 3rd thing I LOVE is the ability to MUTE ALL BEEPS with a simple press of the mute button. This stays activated until you un-mute it, or you unplug it. The 4th thing I love is the quiet-door-close. I love how gently and quietly it closes, and it’s actually a very pleasing noise. Makes it seem high-end. The 5th thing I love is how easy it is to change the POWER-LEVEL, from 100% and step-down in 10% increments. This is a new feature for me and I love being able to very gently microwave things with reduced wattage. The Microwave is very powerful and heats foods really well and evenly. I definitely recommend this microwave.

I was looking for a quiet closing microwave to replace our cheap and noisy one that moves all over the place when you try to pull it open or have to slam it closed. This is the only soft close I found. Some of the reviewers said it didn’t last long so I hesitated for a couple months. But I kept coming back to it and when the price dropped from $250 to $213 I decided to take a chance. We’ve only had it for a few days but it is compact, solid, and oh so quiet. The soft close and gentle open are everything. The interior light is bright and overall it looks sharp and cooks well. I’m glad we replaced our Hamilton Beach with this. We’ll see how long it lasts, but I’m loving it right now.

Love the ease of use of this microwave and best of all, no annoying buzzer when the cycle is done. One button to power on, and you can easily adjust the time by turning the knob instead of having to push so many buttons. The time for one cup and to reheat are perfect, no need to correct. It’s a bit pricey, $250 for a microwave but it sure delivers. If these things are impoirtant to you, go for it. You won’t be sorry you did.
