When I replaced my old toaster oven with this model, I realized that it did everything it was suppose to do. It is smaller that other toaster ovens I’ve purchased. It only has one sliding slot inside for the rack which seems a little too high but it’s workable. Cooks, toasts and heats quickly and I love that feature,

This is the best toaster oven that I have ever used. It is slimmer than others so that it fits on narrow counters. The natural convection technology allows superior cooking and heating performance, and it is very easy to clean. An added feature is its sleek retro style.

Purchased the toaster oven because I had owned a similar model from B+W for at least 10 years that worked flawlessly. I was hoping for the same kind of performance but unfortunately that wasn’t the case.
There’s a couple major flaws in this thing but I’ll cut to the chase, It lit a piece of toast on fire. Either the heating elements overheated, or the timer malfunctioned. I placed a piece of bread in the oven, turned the top knob to "Toast", turned the second knob to "Toast" and then turned the timer past 10 minutes and back to a medium darkness level. I walked away, came back to the smell of smoke, and found that the bread was literally on fire.
As for the flaws (if you’re still willing to purchase after the flaming toast) you can probably already tell that the knobs for various functions are annoying at best. The first time I used it, I just turned the timer knob to the medium toast setting and found that the heating elements didn’t even turn on because I had forgotten to set the top timer to the "Toast" setting. It’s probably a minor quibble, but it just doesn’t make sense to me why I have to set 3 separate dials just to toast some bread. To toast on my old B+W oven, you’d set the doneness and push a switch down. When the toast was ready, the switch would pop back up, turning off the unit. I got over this quickly because it is easy to set the knobs to toast, and I would never forget again after screwing it up the first time.
The bigger flaw in my mind is the analog timer. On most other toasters that I have used, its very easy to consistently set to a particular "doneness" or "darkness." Usually there’s some preset number of settings that are easy to see and easy to set. The timer design on this toaster makes it extremely difficult to consistently get the same level of doneness. This is because the timer itself has very small doneness indicators, is analog which requires you to turn the knob past 10 minutes and back to your desired doneness, and is positioned at the bottom of the unit which requires you to bend down and squint as your try to match the desired position. The crux of the issue is that they tried to combine the timer for the oven with the timer for the toast, but because the timer for the oven goes up to 30 minutes, the range for the toast is very small on the left side of the dial. Considering I’d never really bother with the oven timer (I’d just use Stay-On, which it does have, and time my cooks elsewhere), this was really frustrating to me. When my two year old asks for a piece of toast, I’d *really* like to be able to know that I’m getting a reasonably cooked piece of bread, not a charred hockey puck. Instead I tended to lean more towards whiter, which left me with soggy uncooked bread.
I can’t even really comment on how well it bakes because I hadn’t owned it long enough to find out before it almost started a fire in my kitchen.

Arrived on time and in excellent condition. Works well and is easy to clean. The only possible issue is the fact that it gets very hot on the outside.

I’ve owned about 6-8 of these over the years, getting about 4 years of life from each, wearing them out completely with the last one’s bottom heating element breaking apart. So, I kinda like them to begin with and find I’ve gotten my money’s worth on each unit.
This unit is very clean looking, looks nice on the countertop and cooks very fast (of course, I may have gotten used to the old one not being so efficient after many years). I have to use the toaster setting on low, because when it heats up, it toasts quickly and will burn if not careful. It heats evenly, does good work with a variety of items i.e. toast, bagels, tortillas, chicken nuggets/strips, fish sticks and other assorted goods. It puts out heat, exterior gets warm, but doesn’t burn, unless you are dumb enuf to keep your hand on it.
Negatives:
*Has a curved glass door, which is elegant, but the handle does not reach the counter, instead hovers about an inch above the counter, which I do not care for. I think over time, this design will weaken the door.
*They redesigned the crumb tray which now lays inside the bottom panel and can easily be removed, WHEN NOT HOT. You’ll get burned taking it out by hand when hot. My last model had a separated tray which could be taken out while still warm.
*They removed the glass door bracket that pulls the wire rack out a little bit when opening the door. It would also push the wire rack back in too. So now, you open the door and have to manually pull the wire rack out to fully access the Broiler Tray. I would like to see the pull mechanism back in.
*Finally, the 3 knobs, even though my last one was the same, seem confusing, and takes some adjusting to, but got the feel for it quickly.
In summary, I like this unit, like the way it looks and its efficient performance. Good price on Amazon, and would buy it again. Only 4 Stars because of the negatives, but really consider it a 4.5 Star rating.

I don’t know but this unit seems a bit complex to use.
To turn it on OR off you need to use the bottom knob. The bottom knob is multifunction, toast setting, timer set and oven on/off. So if you want to bake something at 350 you need to set the temp knob to 350 and turn the bottom knob to the leftmost position marked “Stay on”. On my prior also simple 4 slice Black & Decker all I needed to do was turn the temp knob from off to whatever temp I wanted. And thus lowering the temp all the way down was off. On this you need to turn the knob to the position marked with a small circle to turn off the oven.
Also on my last unit the heating elements were switched off as long as the door were open. Not on the new one. The heating just continues with the door open. Some might think this is a good feature but I don’t. You must remember to turn the bottom knob off, to the position marked with a small circle, when you open the door if you don’t want it to be on with the door open. So don’t open door pull out food and walk away because the oven will still be on with the door open.
Also the sides of the unit get HOT. On my old unit you could move the thing around a little with this unit you will sear if you touch the housing.
Maybe this does not matter but the temp control only goes up to 450F. Then beyond that it is broil. I have these particular frozen dishes that require 500F for 50 minutes to come out perfect. Maybe they will cook properly at broil?
This bottom knob is very difficult to turn to the “leave On” position. It is very smooth so you may need to use two hands if your hands or the knob are not clean and dry. For short heating it is easier to use the timer function to allow the bake, broil, warm functions.
A note about Toast. You need to turn the middle knob to toast. I don’t know how leaving the knob on bake or broil would effect the toast. Then you need to turn the bottom knob right past 10 minutes to activate toast then turn the same knob back to the desired toast light/dark setting. Since this is a 3 function knob the toast color range is jammed into only one 1/4 turn of the knob meaning it has to be difficult to fine tune. Then since you must turn this knob anytime you use the oven you can’t leave the knob set on you favorite light/dark setting.
Final gripe. When you open the door the tray does not automatically come partially out of the oven. Neither did my old toaster oven move the tray out but the ones I had before that all did.
Some of these things seem to be common to all current toaster ovens.
Now it seems from my search that most if not all the new ovens by all companies only provide temperature control to 450F. Why? I have no specific knowledge.
Also I can’t find any unit that partially pushes out the food rack when the door is open. Again Why?
As far as the heating elements switching not off with the door open I have no idea about other units.
About the controls they really don’t seem intuitive. I am sure I will get used to them, as most will, but other people who need to cook in the kitchen sporadically will certainly be calling me for help periodically.
Otherwise it seems to work fine and probably will cook food just fine. Maybe I am being harsh with 3 stars as once you get the hang of it it is mostly alright but I did not think I was going to have to read the instructions to turn it on or make toast. Only have to read them once. I won’t need to keep instructions by the oven.
So maybe if these are non-issues for you it is 5 stars since it does work and being stainless is probably relatively easy to keep looking clean.
Also on the plus side the combination drip tray sits on top of the grill for baking etc. and can be suspended on the bottom of the grill to catch drips if whatever you are cooking on the grill drips.
Finally the easily removable crumb tray is nice.

For around 40 bucks you can’t beat this little work horse. I’ve had Black & Decker toaster ovens over the years and they never wear out, but eventually get a little worse for wear cosmetically. I like the stainless steel construction of this one. My last one was similar but had a black body and steel face. Let’s break down the pros and cons, shall we?
PROS
Looks nice. Fits in to a nice kitchen even if it’s not a so-called high end brand.
It works! This baby gets nice and hot. My last one (an Oster, yes I had a brief affair with another toaster oven and I’m not proud of it ) left fish sticks mushy. I don’t think it got hot enough. Now they are crunchy on the outside and flaky in the inside.
Makes good toast. Just make sure you don’t walk away. It happens fast. Use the lightest setting.
The removable crumb tray helps keep it clean and will make it last longer.
The rack is a cool design. The provided cooking tray doubles as a drip tray as it slides in in the bottom. This means you could broil a steak or something directly on the rack and catch the fat drippings. Seems a bit messy to me, but it’s a thing you can do.
Nice and compact. Careful where you put it, though. It gets HOT!
Well constructed.
Bakes, brooks, roasts, and reheats like a champ.
CONS
Outside gets super hot. Keep your kids away from the outside surfaces. I’m certain you can fry an egg on the top while it’s on. Haven’t tried, but it gets really hot. Be careful where you store it. I keep mine on top of the microwave and nothing over it.
The baking sheet is nice, but since it doubles as a drip pan that fits into the underside of the wire rack, it’s a bit small. Investing in a slightly larger one will allow you to fit a few more fish sticks.
It smells funny the first time you run it. They all do though. Just run it for 30 minutes on the highest setting and wash the tray, rack and crumb catcher with soap first and you’ll be good to go.
That’s it! I will update if things change, but if this review stays like this, I’m still happy.

This was a replacement of my last black & decker oven. I had the last one for many years and still worked great .. but was time for a new one. So far seems great and heats up quick and is the perfect size to leave on the counter top. It’s aesthetically nice looking and seems durable.
