Italian-based SMEG is known for its ’50s retro-look appliances designed in collaboration with some of the world’s top architects. This stainless-steel electric milk frother combines iconic midcentury style with modern features. The induction heating system rapidly warms the milk to your preferred temperature, which can then be frothed quickly to produce a smooth microfoam or billowy soft peaks. The frother also works with cold milk, creating a delectable addition to iced beverages.

Super foam with milk and almond milk. No fully automatic espresso maker can ever match the foam this thing makes-and it’s so easy to clean. I took one star off because the steel container rattles when it’s running, still highly recommended.

I overfilled the tank and it overflowed and broke immediately. For the price I would have expected it to have some better durability, engineering and protection against liquid damage. It was a huge disappointment. I reached out to SMEG customer service and never heard back.

This might seem like an unimportant, fairly useless, niche kitchen gadget and well… it is. But at the same time it may be the most wonderful, amazing, incredible thing I’ve ever added to my kitchen. I found this after having Knoops in London, and wanted to make my own at home here in the US. Now I make luxurious hot cocoa (or iced hot cocoa) almost every day now, using blended up chocolate buttons from a chocolate supplier near me, and the smeg milk frother makes it easy – perfect cup of cocoa every time and extremely easy to clean. I’m now a hot chocolate addict and have told several people they have to get one of these. It’s not an important thing to own, but it’s a great thing to own.

Good god this thing is amazing. I don’t know anything about coffee except how much I love it, so I was a bit skeptical that I’d be able to get it right. Well good news, there is nothing you have to do. Just put the milk in and press the button… the results are better than what you’d get at Starbucks. Paired with my new Tchibo coffee maker (single serve bean to cup espresso & coffee), I actually look forward to getting out of bed in the morning now 😅

I’m addicted to Smeg small appliances. I own seven of them. All in the almond color. My kitchen looks like a Smeg store. I debated buying this milk frother, bc I own a battery operated handheld already, but since I’m Smeg addicted I went ahead and bought it. It’s one of the BEST purchases I’ve made! It’s whips any type of milk (whole, skim, almond, oat) into a light, fluffy, creamy froth. It’s so easy to use. It even heats the milk while whipping. (You can choose warm or cold). I’ve used it for dessert toppings, too. Cleaning is a breeze. There’s a small ring in the bottom. Remove that and just rinse and replace ring. This item is truly worth the money. Buy it!

It took me a while to order this milk frothier because of the price. Once it arrived, the frothier sat in the box for a week. I then watched a You tube demo and I was sold. It is very convenient to use. I have used oat milk and it frothed very well for my coffee. I then used the oat milk with chocolate bits I purchased during a trip to Zurich, Switzerland and that was a very delicious froth for my morning coffee. I also mix my protein peptides in the oat milk and continues to develop a great froth. I love this machine and it is worth the price!

We’ve gone through several milk frothers and this is by far the best one. We love that you can clean the stainless steel part separately from the base. Previous milk frothers were tricky to clean. This one is huge and can warm or froth a larger quantity of milk than normal frothers. Plus, it looks great on the counter. We love it! It’s pricey but worth every penny.

The first few times I used it it was great, especially in manual mode. Now it makes a grinding sound and barely froths the milk despite heating it. Not worth over $200.

I’ve only had this for a day but so far it’s met my expectations. I have had a hand held frother that stopped working pretty soon after I bought it, and I have a frother on my fancy espresso machine that is a pain in the neck to clean and seems to work erratically which is frustrating. I looked at many reviews and found that the Breville unit has a defect that causes fires. Nope. I also found that many types may stop working suddenly as mine did. No thanks. Furthermore some seem to have a coating on the pitcher that eventually starts to degrade. Yuck. This one had good reviews albeit not many, but the heating unit is interesting it works by induction which appears to be safer than the usual heating method (I’m no expert here). It’s definitely super easy to use and the instructions are clear. Min amount, max for frothing and max for heating are all clearly marked. I used soy milk this morning to make my cappuccino (or latte, whatevs, I’m no expert there either) and it was DELICIOUS. I frothed the minimum amount of milk, added in my espresso shot and voila! a shake of cinnamon and I’ve got barista level drinks at home. I can also make my daughter a hot chocolate and there are settings for cold milk as well. I don’t know if it has longevity yet but it certainly looks sturdy and stylish! I did not go looking for a “cute” frother but this seems to be the best one I could find.

I have a nice espresso machine gathering dust because I’ve fallen in love with Moka. I use this to steam milk and it works perfectly it’s just amazing. Actually if you have an espresso machine without a frothier this is perfect for you. Easy to use and easy to clean, I am thrilled with it.
