10 reviews for Starbucks Verismo Electric Milk Frother 112575

The unit I received looks nothing like the picture. They need to fix the marketing. They have removed the handle and put a big fat plate style base that sticks out and is ugly. However, the new model actually heats up hotter than my old one and it still is the best frother on the market because the bottom is flat allowing you to clean it properly. Most frothers come with the magnet on the bottom are very difficult to clean and end up with scorched milk residue eventually. This is my third Starbucks frother. They last a couple of years. The new model has corrected the problem that caused my old one to break which was a small metal tab in the lid which provided the electrical connection and eventually broke off. This one does not have that, so I am hoping it will last longer. Overall its an excellent product but I wish they hadn’t changed the shape and taken off the handle. The vendor needs to update the picture.

Product worked just long enough for RockyMountainRetail to refuse to take it back. Stupid me, bought two of these junk products and I will never buy another one, and never buy anything from RockyMountainRetail. Bad Product, Bad Company

Loved it while it lasted. I gave been trying to get a replacement since September and have been just informed that they are not longer replacing this equipment but instead giving a refund if still under warranty that can ale additional 4-6 weeks. In that time frame I’ll be moving; they have communicated that there is not possible way to update their records with my new address but they can give 15% discount for when I buy it back. How does this makes any sense?

This is my second Verismo. It’s has saved me so much money by not going to Starbucks so it’s paid for itself. It does a great job for frothing for me for my chai every AM. I didn’t give it a 5 stars yet because first the picture shown is the older model I guess. I had that model for maybe 3 years and stopped heating the milk for me. The one I just received does not have the handle and has a new look and lid. This model seems easier to clean and the lid won’t get all guncked up, but jury is still out if it froths as well as the old one with the spinner moves up and down. Still a great product and does the job!

This frother ROCKS! Seriously, it produces a thicker foam than the Panarello wand on my Saeco Magic Deluxe super-automatic espresso machine and it can run at the same time since (obviously) it doesn’t need or use a 2nd boiler! I also really enjoy the choice to froth or simply steam milk. — The choice means removing the circular-spring at the end of the frother armature. However, be sure to keep this spring handy once removed so it doesn’t get lost in the cleaning process.
If there is any ‘down-side’ to this milk frother it is the low capacity; it barely holds 1/3 cup before frothing. This is because the frothing introduces so much air and volume that it over-flows the lid if the device is over-filled. So, 3 fluid ounces of milk turns into 1-1/2 cups (volume) of fluffy froth and sometimes I have to run the machine 2 times to make 4 cappuccinos.
NOTE there are CLEAR MARKINGS inside the frother saying MAX Fill for frothing and MAX Fill for steaming. — strictly abide by these limits or pay the spilled-milk consequences!

I do like the frother, super easy and easy to clean up. Only negative is that it doesn’t quite get hot enough for me.

Item was defective, returned it the next day. I had used one that a friend had, same brand, but this one wouldn’t froth anything…

Great product. Too expensive and I could not find an easy way to return it to the vendor.

Have used it five times a day for six months. WORKS GREAT!! Makes wonderful hot frothy milk. Does it quickly and consistently. Love this unit. The motor is in the lid which makes for less maintenance and larger volume. Other units have the motor and mechanics in the bottom of the unit causing cleaning and mechanical issues. However, this beneficial "motor in the lid" location seems to cause most of the problems that people are reporting. The connection for the lid is the key. It must be snapped into place Firmly. Otherwise it will not power up, or will stop early as it vibrates loose. The lid’s electrical connection on the fother must not get milk or water into it. I Have treated this frother carefully due to reviews about it breaking. Never have immersed in water. Never have allowed milk to get into the electrical connection for the lid. Never allowed water to seep into the motor in the lid. A small stain has formed in the bottom of the container but does not effect performance. (Don’t worry about the stain and you lill be fine.) Cleaning after use takes about 15 seconds. I rinse the foam out and twirl a round dish brush in the bottom with a drop of detergent and all milk comes right off. The brown streak stays and never gets any larger. Easy and simple, Never immerse it, always rinse it off immediately after use and do not get liquids into any of the electrical connections and YOU Will Love it! Just use common sense and reasonable care. It is so so simple to use and a pleasure to live with. Wonderful Lattes and Cappuccino. Froths as quickly as I can brew the expresso.
