When our old small frying pan finally needed replacing I made the mistake of picking up a pan that was NOT dishwasher safe. So every time I used the pan, into the sink it went until I felt like washing it. One time I put it in the dishwasher which resulted in the underside of the pan becoming discolored with a material that needed to be fully washed off because it was staining everything it came into contact with. Grrr … I hate it when that happens. So I finally decided rather than continue to be disappointed with the pan, I would replace it with this lovely dishwasher-safe pan, which is also from Cuiisinart. I love the pan. It is so well made. It is heavy and works beautifully. Cleanup is an absolute breeze … I just pop it into the dishwasher and my job is done.

Whether I am flipping eggs or making an omlet, the non-stick surface on this pan is great!

After making the BIG mistake buying stainless steel versions of these pans, I opted for the coated version of them as a replacement. This is what cooking should be like! Effortless to cook in and effortless to clean. Aesthetics are also on point. They look good in my kitchen. Good weight and heat transference. Cool to the touch handle will take a minute to getting use to as my previous pans needed caution. I’ve used restaurant grade pans for decades. No problem there…. Just wanted to try something different. At this point I’m very happy. I won’t hesitate to buying more. But for the sake of all things great and small, please do not buy stainless steel versions of these pans!! Coated! Life is too short for that nonsense!!

Beautiful pan, nice heavy feel, works fine on my induction cooktop.
However, it heats up really fast! Previous pans would take a bit to heat up.
I typically put them on the highest – 9 – heat setting, and then
adjust as needed. This pan on 9 heats up so fast that if I put butter in
there to melt, it’s burning and smoking before I have the chance to break
an egg and whisk it before putting it in.. I have to use a lower setting,
around 7, and then adjust. So, I guess you can say it’s very very efficient,
though I preferred the slower heat up cycle of previous pans, and I’ve had
many of them in the 11 years I’ve had this cooktop.

Nothing sticks, I can flip eggs at ease and it cleans up great. I love the fact that it’s steel.

Non stick surface is excellent; and heats very evenly with stainless steel rather than aluminum.

I have used Cuisinart for a decade n totally like them. Now l am replacing what l need here n the 8inch nonstick frying pan is a start. It’s great as before n was nonstick n pretty n easy to clean. Heat distribution was great. I will be ordering more stainless steel pieces soon. Thanks Cuisinart n Amazon.

I totally love this pan. This could be my only pan. It is easy to use, easy to clean, useful size.
A lid. It could use a lid. I would buy a lid.
I have one from another pan that sort of fits.
I cannot think of anything else I would change to improve this handy, useful, reliable pan.

Excellent when needing a smaller skillet. Lightweight.

The first time is always awkward. You fumble, you don’t know how it will go, but you laugh and you have fun! You also realize your trust was well founded and you look forward to more intense times. I ordered this little skillet on a Friday night and it arrived Saturday morning. I had to try it!

I made a grilled roast beef and cheese sandwich with it (pictured). My old skillet (different brand) had failed, hence the replacement. The grilled sandwich would be an easy test of the new skillet. I prepared it as usual and started cooking it on the stovetop. Heat distribution was nice and even. The sandwich, while cooking, slid very easily on the surface of the skillet. The cheese melted and the bread, coated with mayo (it really works!), developed this nice golden toastiness. The sandwich was yummy!

Next will be a cold seared pork chop…

Would I recommend it? Yes! There are much more expensive skillets at this size, but we already had a Cuisinart pan and it was well made, so it was easy to choose another Cuisinart. This skillet is solid and hefty, and seems well made. The non-stick coating seems to be properly applied and is very effective. Durability is something that can only be evaluated over time, but this one looks to be a keeper. You can find others for a little less or a lot more, but this hit the sweet spot for me. I can’t wait to cook with it again!
