Time will tell how this holds up but the build quality is much better than a cheap product I purchased prior. I added comparison pics so folks can see.
I’m short, all the attachments are sturdier and the gear teeth (though still plastic) are more robust as well.
I don’t love that the bottom of the immersion blender part is plastic. I know this is done to prevent scratching on non stick but I’ve had these leak (seals degrade) and harbor grossness before. So, while I prefer an all metal immersion piece, the Ninja appears to be well built.
Specials + discounts + etc = the Ninja was about $15 more than the cheap one.

Demographic note: old guy and wife, kids are grown, just the two of us. We use(d) stick blenders a lot.
The Ninja Foodi comprises a very powerful motor and two major attachments: a stick blender and a handheld mixer. A whipping attachment can be connected to the mixer.
The major positive on this beastie is that it’s very fast and powerful. You can plunge the stick blender into a container of ice and make smoothies. You can whip a half cup of cream in perhaps 25 seconds. Amazing.
But this amazement comes at a price.
(1) the business end of the blender attachment is significantly larger diameter than most home stick blenders, too big to fit in many pint (half-liter) containers. (To balance this, it did come with a 24-oz container that it does fit.)
(2) the hand mixer fits the motor such that the heavy gauge cord is hanging down. This makes it very difficult to leave the assembled mixer anywhere but on its side draining onto the counter, because the cord adds a third, unstable point on which the back rests. (The instability is caused by the cord in back plus a cylindrical frame.)
End result: a powerful, but often inconvenient, tool for the kitchen.

I really don’t like getting a package that tells me I’ve given the item another life. It makes me think there’s something wrong with it and I’ve paid for a new one, not a used one.

Got this at a significant discount. The box was basically destroyed but the contents were well packed and unharmed. Everything works fine. Even had the instruction manual. The power handle is a bit heavy for a hand mixer. The power boost button is awkward to use. Doesn’t blend frozen fruit well… about the same as a nutribullet

I am torn on this thing because, while it is an amazing product, it has one or two issues that I think will really harm its longevity.
First things first, the beaters, the dough hooks, they work great! They do exactly what you would expect, and they pop in easily; they are easy to remove when you are done, and yeah, they just work. One complaint about the hand mixer part though is that it has a speed adjust for multiple modes. I wish we had this for the immersion blender part too, instead of the ‘regular’ and ‘turbo’ speeds. I can’t honestly say I have had any issues at all with the hand mixer aspect of it. It has handled the baked goods I have thrown at it very easily, it is very powerful.
Onto the immersion blender attachment. First off, this thing is POWERFUL. I use it pretty much exclusively to make Ninja Creami protein ice cream, which I consume very often. I prepare it inside of the included tall plastic container, and honestly, I am a pretty strong person, but even on the regular speed, this thing has a LOT of propulsion, so be warned, it could be hard to hang onto for some folks if you plan on moving it up and down while it’s running. I have never used it in heat, so I cannot speak to the plastic melting issue lots of other reviewers seem to have.
Now one huge issue I have noticed with the immersion blender attachment though is the small rubber seal between the steel and the pan guard. Lots of fluids and stuff you blend get stuck inside this very tiny gap. I included 2 pictures, one normal one after I washed it very well and let it dry, then a 2nd one where I simply pushed down on the pot guard. The liquid coming out of the seal is the ice cream mixture I made earlier. It seems like it is impossible to disassemble, so the best I have been able to do is squish the pot guard down to squish out any gunk, and clean the sides as best I can. This one flaw is honestly one of the only big complaints I have about the entire machine though.
Overall, I think it’s a fantastic high-quality product that saves some space by acting as multiple small appliances, and it’s pretty powerful! If they fix the rubber seal issue around the pot guard with the nasty stuff getting stuck, it would be an easy 5 stars for someone like me who only blends cold things, but otherwise, I worry about the buildup of nasty gunk over time.

We needed to upgrade our hand mixer, immersion stick, but we didn’t want to have four different appliances. We saw this product and were convinced. It easily blends mixtures, and the measuring/cup blending cup is a nice added component.

Wife broke her mixer so I took a chance without asking her and bought this unit. She absolutely loves it! It is quiet, powerfull and easy to use. Her only negative comment was that it was a bit heavier than her last mixer. It is a different style so it just took her a little bit to get used to it. She has made moor baked goods since I bought it, than she did all of last year. Can’t go wrong with a Ninja!

Ninja has done it again. This multi tasking piece of equipment is unrivaled. Speed options and sound all have 5 stars from me. I have used a few with 26 yrs of cooking for a large family of 6 wish I would have had this 26 yrs ago.

I really like this tool set! I have murdered many hand mixers. I have a ginormous lift type Kitchenaid mixer, but many times I just need a small mixer, or I really need the wand blender (my favorite!). I love to make homemade mayo and this wand blender does the job in about 2 seconds. The entire set is very powerful. It is easy to clean, easy to use, and easy to store in my little retirement home. I just love the entire set and use it all of the time. I recommend it.
