This thermometer is pretty useless. I don’t think it’s ever shown a temperature above 98 when taking someone’s temperature even when I’ve used it on kids who were running fevers well over 100 according to multiple other thermometers. The whole point of getting this was to be able to quickly and accurately take the kids’ temperatures. The cheapest thermometer you find at your local pharmacy will do a better job for less money than this device.

Seems to work well so far for taking the temperature of humans, I haven’t tried it for other surfaces as of yet. I do think it is a bit expensive but it does work, and it’s big enough it helps to not get lost.
