This meat thermometer was worth every penny. Not only is it sleek and very easy to read, but it is right on target with any meat, chicken, pork and fish that I cook on a regular basis. I use to have my old school dial gauge thermometer which took forever to get a reading, with my new one I can actually use it while I’m cooking and get instantaneous temperature readings. One of the things my wife just found out about it is magnetic you can attach it to your fridge so you never misplace it. I love it. If you love cooking and have been cooking as long as me, it’s a great little investment for your kitchen.👍👍 God Bless!

Great to have on the fridge, next to the stove or at the grill. Very quick and works exactly as it should. The magnet is a nice feature so it’s always handy. The backlight allows you to use it in any lighting, it’s easy to read and the battery life seems to be good so far. All the safe temps are listed on it so there’s no need to Google if you forget. Great tool at an affordable price!

I was surprised at the very low price but decided I wasn’t risking much by trying it. I’ve only used it for a week so far, but it seems to work just fine. I do like the way it doesn’t turn on until the probe is extended. So the chances of accidentally turning it on & thereby running down the battery are zero. With the OXO model, which I’ve purchased in the past, I would sometimes accidentally turn it on by grasping it at the top & hitting the on button. Or the on button would get bumped accidentally when I reached for something else in that drawer.
I just hope this less expensive type will last well into the future! Stay tuned ….

If you speak English, you can easily assume AWLKIM will not stick around long. Whatever it is, nothing with a W there and a K in it is going to become a worldwide commodity. But the thermometer–it’s just like the one it replaced and it was available at the time for an excellent price, so I couldn’t go wrong.
Digital thermometers have transformed my grilling and allowed me to precisely time my foamed milk in the microwave among many other marvels. I love them for these feats. I also appreciate they come with temperatures printed on them for various meats because I easily forget.
Just one “pro tip” to complete this review–if you pull meat off the grill 5-10 deg F below it’s target temperature it will keep heating and won’t end up overcooked, just like cookies out of the oven. (Be glad you missed my first attempt to bake cookies myself.)

I’m really impressed with this meat thermometer. It gives quick and accurate readings, which has made cooking steaks and roasts a breeze. The display is clear and the probe is easy to clean. Definitely a must-have for any kitchen!

Works right out of the box, easy to use, sturdy, precise, nice size fits well in hands.

This thermometer works just fine and I like the auto shutoff when it’s closed. But the magnets are woefully weak. If you use a thermometer frequently and plan to attach it to a metal surface for convenience, look elsewhere. This one will take a slow ride down any surface straight to the floor! Another thought…it’s a little larger than I expected, great for man hands I guess, but a little too big and bulky for the feminine!

EDIT: The seller reached out to me and offered a refund on my purchase, which I accepted. They processed it immediately and asked only that I give their company another opportunity to provide products that I’ll love. I think this is OUTSTANDING customer service and I appreciate their generosity! You can trust this seller and rest assured that they’ll make things right if something goes sideways! And if the magnets aren’t a big deal to you, this is a very good, quick response thermometer! Added a star!

It’s a cheap foldable thermometer. It does what it’s supposed to do.
Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because there’s a calibration button, but no instructions of how to calibrate. Luckily, I figured it out. My thermometer was 1 degree F high out of the box.
      CALIBRATION INSTRUCTIONS:
This thermometer calibrates to 32F or 0C.
      1. Make an ice bath. A clean glass or cup of half ice cubes and half drinking water. For absolute best results use distilled water for ice cubes and water. Most likely a small effect, but distilled water is best.
      2. Set temperature to read in F. The F scale has more resolution than C.
      3. Vigorously stir water/ice for 30 secs. Use temp probe for this. Stir until temperature stops falling and levels out. Don’t worry if it isn’t reading 32F. We’ll fix that. Stir until minimum happens.
      4. Keep stirring at minimum reading while press and holding the CAL button for 3-4 seconds. Display will blink CAL then will blink 32F. Keep stirring during all this time and release the CAL button and wait for display to stop blinking.
      5. You’re done. Set display to your preference of F or C.

Note the ambient temperature can affect calibration, so calibrate in the environment you’re using the thermometer.

These results are from my own science experiments. No idea if this is the official method. Now, go CAL your brains out.
