This came nicely packaged in a box with lots of instructions and charts for cooking different meats. It already came loaded with a 2032 battery so I was able to see how it works right away. But they also included another battery in a little bag just in case. Nice thought. It works only when you open the spear and it has a bright back light if needed. I also appreciate their putting a cooking temp chart right on the thermometer as I often do not remember what temperature to cook meats. This was important to me when choosing. It is magnetic and attaches to the side of my refrigerator. If it falls in the water it is waterproof for a short time. I cannot speak for the accuracy as I have not used it yet. I chose the red one so I could easily find it in my drawer of cooking utensils. For the price, it was a good buy.

It reads the temperature fast with little lag, folds up, and turns on and off by opening or closing. The ability to use the probe at different angles is a big advantage. You’ll also find the handy meat temperature chart on the handle useful if you are a backyard cook with a crappy memory for different meats and temperatures.

Great quality and price. Have been using almost daily and continues to perform well. I like the magnet to stick it on the side of the microwave so I always know where it is. Reads temps within seconds. Battery life appears excellent after repeated use.

Great product. Works wonderfully and easy to use. The only thing I don’t like is where the metal probe connects to the device. The connection piece is plastic and after opening and closing the probe numerous times, the plastic connections begins to break and the metal probe falls out. It happened to me under normal use. Regardless, I replaced it with the same thing because it’s otherwise great. Just wish the company would upgrade that connection piece.

I had my old “instant” digital thermometer for probably 8-10 years and it froze up this past winter. The old idea of instant was probably 10-12 seconds. This new thermometer is much, much closer to instant than that old thing and wish I would have bought one of these years ago. My old one was round but this one is flat but it’s also magnetic soit won’t roll away or fall off my grill. It’s easier to find in my drawer than my skinny old black one too. Very happy with this buy. Probably will buy more as gifts this Christmas.
