This is the real “baby shower” gift! Follow the registry and all that, but my goodness this has saved our marriage and bodies. Since becoming parents, we’ve bemoaned that we can’t eat (anything warm) once baby’s asleep. Everything is so unnecessarily loud and has no off button. Want to turn on the oven? Great, every button is going to beep as you turn it on, but then that’s not it, because it’ll sing a song when it’s done preheating before you have to make another beep again to turn it off. Want to turn on the microwave? Again, every button touch is a beep before you have a whole song when it’s ready! We found ourselves doing ridiculous things like “don’t forget to put 9 minutes on the microwave before baby goes to sleep” so that we could minimize the beeps to just one when starting it, then staying in front of it the whole time and opening the door before it finished. Sometimes that one beep would still wake up our baby, though.
The ability to turn the sound off was the answer to our prayers. I hadn’t known it existed, but–in retrospect quite thankfully!–our new apartment didn’t have a microwave. We’ve bought then given away 4+ microwaves at this point, so we were pretty peeved and initially planned to get one for free from Marketplace. But then we saw this one. We saw that the holy grail of a silent appliance existed. We saw that an appliance designer had finally heard our prayers?!
So here we are, living like royalty, eating warm food at night and during nap time and anytime the mood strikes us. Microwave is truly silent, we can use whatever features we’d like, we no longer have to ration off the remaining time or beeps or fight over whether warming food up is worth waking the baby. We got the smaller size, which is (barely) large enough for our largest dinner plate. Seems to heat food up evenly and spins well.
It is a little slower than microwaves we’ve used in the past, but not by much. The eco mode does seem to turn itself off, which is annoying. Overall, still love this purchase!

I’m loving this microwave. It does everything I need to. The size is nice, even though it’s smaller than my other one, I now realized I didn’t need that. Great big microwave after all. I love the function that allows you to turn the beep off.

Sometimes it works great, USUALLY it does. But other times it seems as though it’s struggling to heat things up. Every time it starts up it sounds like it’s having a hard time, but then it’s fine. With that being said, it looks to be in great condition, and is easy to use. I’m a first time microwave user and I’ve been able to get it to work for everything I’ve needed, sometimes just with some adjustments.

Are you kidding, I love this microwave.
The mute option is fantastic.
I read reviews on this and was laughing when someone said there’s sounds like a jet taking off and this one is much quieter.
Well they’re right. What a pleasure to hear it heating something up and not having it sound like you have a helicopter idling on your roof. Wow I can still hear the TV!
No upping the volume to max.
I hope it lasts as long as my old Boeing micro has. Nice door handle too. I’m tired of pushing some button or whatever to open the microwave door, the handle is like grabbing a mug of beer. Now that I can do blindfolded lol. And sneaking a snack late at night when your “dieting” is very stealthy with this unit. Now the whole family doesn’t get woke up and I finally quit getting Jenny Craig and WeightWatchers pamphlets set in my spot at the table. Now those late night Ninja Cooker infomercials take on a whole new meaning now. If my family only knew that now I am the real late night Ninja Cooker! And at the 900 watts this unit puts out, hey that’s plenty of power for what we need. Probably you too. Besides you don’t want to warp your dishes do you(?).
When I was younger the old man purposely kept the car exhaust loud so that when I tried to sneak out with the car He and the whole neighborhood would know. After that being said back to this quiet microwave makes me think that now my kid may want to sneak out late at night with my car which is an electric EV SUV, and you know technology is on HIS side so I would NEVER hear him.
Oh well like father, like son…..
I guess it comes around full circle.
So be sharp and study/listen in the quietness of the night you never know who’s doing what and what sounds you may hear.
But I bet you won’t hear ME heating up food in our new Chefman microwave or my son taking my EV. Fair is fair.
STAY THIRSTY MY FRIENDS

I hate everything about this microwave. It is so cheap. It doesn’t sit level so it rocks back and forth. Our old microwave and the one at my job heats up way faster than this one. I have to put a cup of room temperature water inside for 3 minutes to get it hot enough. I cooked a bag of steam fresh broccoli and it was still cold after 5 minutes. It is really loud but thank goodness you can silence it by holding the 8 button. It’s still really loud when you shut the door. You have to hit a time cook button to put the time you want. It is too small, a Mason jar is too tall. I’m so disappointed but my boyfriend had already threw away the box.

I remodeled the house and got rid of my huge and fairly new Toshiba microwave. This one does the SAME and EXACT job, is just smaller and much more compact. I never cooked an whole turkey so I figured why waste precious countertop space, so tried this one and I love it. It does what is supposed to do.

I got this little Microwave for my office at work. Its very nice, has many useful features, and is just the right size for a dorm room or office. Its quiet, heats fast, and is easy to keep clean. It has a bright internal light that comes on when the door is opened, and it has a very smooth turntable inside. You just can’t go wrong with this one. Its a keeper. I ordered one for our mini-bar in the family room, and one for my man-cave. Well worth the excellent price.
