Here in Arizona it’s hot. Been cooking with this oven…less time, clean so much easier then regular oven.bought it for my daughter but I’m using it more. Takes time to know when to use air fry versus oven. Example biscuits .but you can do both in this air fryer. Make sure you get the digital thermometer and the grip tongs.you can buy on here and a heat mat.😁

I love this air fryer I use it at least once a day anything from toast to chicken nuggets for my grandson to full dinners. I love the large 3 tray feature I often put my meat on top potato in middle & veggie on bottom to prepare a whole meal. The racks are easy to clean up & the inside is easily wiped after each use. I wish the door came off like my old air fryer to remove crumbs easier but it’s ok. This fryer heats up before the fan turns on which aids in faster cooking times. The touch screen is fairly responsive if & when this one dies I would buy it again.

I had my doubts about it, but it’s actually a pretty decent appliance. I have made wings, salmon, and chicken thighs… every thing came out great. I
definitely suggest using the air fryer liners to help with the clean up. Overall it’s a good product.

This is my second airfryer. I used to have the dome shaped one with the pull out basket. I have used this one twice now and in comparison I like it better than the other one. It has 3 racks which is a lot more surface area than my other one. My fries cooked so quickly and they were so crisp! I recommend putting foil on the bottom tray for easy clean up and to minimize drips. I haven’t tried the rotisserie option yet but am excited to. The only downfall is it is a bit big on my kitchen counter (I already have no space). Also it has a weird smell, like plastic? I’m wondering if that will go away with time.

My son loves this product- he lives in army housing & it makes cooking so much easier & faster for him … small convenient and cooks exactly the way he wants it & the way it should. Easy enough to clean the stainless steel finish & the food capacity is large. It’s ideal for his lifestyle. great product great price.

I bought this for a summer home. I needed something small to fit under the cabinet. I have a bigger one at home which I LOVE. This was is fine for a small space or just 2 people but if you want one for a family then I would go larger.
This one works well and heats up quickly but the trays are flimsy and so far has given off a weird smell but it doesn’t bother me too much.

Everyone kept telling me they love their air fryer, so I wanted one. I became obsessed with finding the perfect one for me so after a month I settled on this one. First thing I made was berry crisp, threw the stuff together in a couple single serve bake dishes, set it to 350 for 40 minutes and it was perfect. No preheating, no heating the entire apartment, just perfect crisp. There were several complaints from other buyers who said there were missing pieces or their units didn’t work, or initially worked and then stopped working. Mine came very well packaged, no damage, all parts included, so I have no complaints there but I understand if maybe some sellers are less thorough or trustworthy in regards to the products they provide. Some complained that it was loud. This is the most quiet kitchen appliance I have ever purchased, it makes less noise than my microwave. Also, I’m not quite sure why people complain that the drip tray isn’t large enough, it’s literally the same dimensions as the bottom of the unit, so any spill-over should land on the tray unless you’re filling this unit over capacity somehow, not sure how that is possible. I also want to mention that although heat did radiate from the unit immediately around it, it did not heat up my kitchen and it stayed warm to the touch but it wasn’t hot so despite baking for 40 minutes I was able to open the oven door with my bare hands. . . Anyway, I’m very happy, so far. This is only day one so I will come back and update.

    ***Update*** Sept. 25. . . 2 months after purchase:
I’m still in-love with this item. No electrical issues, whatsoever. Looks like others have had theirs just outright die after working perfectly the first few days or month. Thankfully, that is not the case with mine. Others also reported the door not shutting properly or at all. This, too, has not been an issue. I’ve basically used this item every other day since it arrived. The only thing I will say is that there is definitely room for improvement. But, I’m just not picky enough to care, I am content in my complacency. For those of you who do care about such details: The temp is set in increments of 10 degrees, 5 would be better. Also, if you decide to stop cooking sooner than the time you’ve set it for, the unit never turns off like it would if the timer completed and it’s “finished.” There is no “clear” or reset button or even an on/off button, so if it bothers you that the screen doesn’t power down and displays the minutes remaining until you decide to use it again then you’re forced to just unplug the unit and plug it back in. And when the timer is done the “BEEP” is very loud and it will beep 5 times, no matter what, it will not be silenced until it has completed its beeps. But there is actually an updated model of this item so these features might be improved (although I have no idea) but it might be worth checking that newer model out if these would be issues for you.
    **8 month update**
The plastic on the handle has cracked, but it does not interfere with the functionality and I am still in love.
    ** 2.5 year update, Jan 2024**
    Still works with consistent use!

I like this as an air fryer, but, it has issues…
    The cons:
    1. Door feels very flimsy, not sure how long it will last with frequent use. Other reviews show it not staying closed after some time. I can see how this could become a problem.
    2. I cannot find additional trays or baking racks for it that FIT. I’d love a second solid baking rack. Tin foil and cooking spray it is on the mesh rack instead. I would buy yhem but Chefman is NOT responding to email or phone messages. NO confidence in product support or warranty, not responding to consumer requests. Bad form Chefman!
    3. Anything on very top rack will be overcooked no matter what, it is closest to heat source, you are forced to constantly rotate racks of food to ensure any sort of even cooking.
    4. Heat circulation in this unit is not great. Learned this the hard way making a bunch of tater tots. The top ones were little tater bricks.
    5. Rotating racks with food on them is also a problem because the racks it comes with do not slide in and out easily on all rows. Messy!
    6. No off button. If you accidentally touch the screen, it comes on, you cannot turn it off. You can STOP the cooking process, which I suppose is turning it off, but the screen stays lit up for quite a while waiting to be turned on again. I’d like to just turn it off. I guess I could just unplug it to be sure.
    7. Use cooking time and temp suggestions on the food package! Not the pre-sets, or you will have overcooked tater tots. Gosh! (IYKYN)

    The Pros:
    1. It is nice to not have to turn my oven on to cook freezer-foods. Flippin sweet!
    2. This definitely cuts down some cooking time.
    3. Very easy to clean after use.
    4. Very quiet while operating.
    5. Does not smell after cooking. I’ve read reviews of other air fryers people needed to buy filters for to keep odors down, and the need to leave oil in them (? Why?) This one just smells like the food I am cooking, same as if the oven were on, maybe a little stronger as it’s not as well insulated as an oven, but I expect to smell my food while it’s cooking. No lingering odor after, although I suppose if you let food residue build up in it, it will start to stink.
    6. Nice, compact unit, I don’t mind leaving it out on the counter.
    7. I like that it has a light you can turn on to look at/check food without opening it unnecessarily. Easier than in an oven, it’s at eye-level!

I still have yet to try cooking meat in it with other things. I’m guessing I will have to trial and error the timing of doing meat, potatoes and vegetables.
No way they all go in at same time. So far we’ve only done freezer food items and roasted vegetables, which came out nice, but again needed to be rotated where if I had used my oven, I could just roast away without any moving them around.

Three stars, I’m in the middle on this one. Don’t love it but don’t hate it. I’ll use it as long as it lasts.

At 71, this is our 1st Air Fryer, so we’re still experimenting and getting used to it! Instructions are clear, and it’s easy to use and clean. So happy we purchased this particular Air Fryer, as my niece has been using hers for 2 years and gave it high marks. We have mainly used it for heating frozen fries, appetizers and reheating pizza (which is the best way ever for left-over pizza – like it just came out of the oven or a fresh delivery!) My niece “cooks” raw meat, chicken and fish in hers, so we will try those next. There are a number of automatic buttons you can use as a guide, but it does depend on what food and size you’re working with, For instance, the “Fries” button overcooked our thin shoe-string fries on our first try, to now we just use the generic Air Fryer button, and set the time and temp lower. Came out perfect on 2nd, 3rd and 4th try. Just like an oven, recipe times call for a certain cooking time, but it really comes down to if you’re using thick or thin pizza, fries, a 1″ thick piece of fish or chicken vs, a flat piece of Tilapia or Chicken Tenders, if you know what I mean. We’ve been using it daily for 2 weeks – and we’re very impressed. It has 3 trays and 3 levels, plus the bottom drip pan (all dishwasher safe.) Takes up less room on our counter than our old Toaster Oven, and even this XL large size fits easily under our cabinets. Plus it has space to cook more and with little to no fat or oil.

So off the bat- this thing is much lighter and takes up less space than my Cuisinart toaster oven/air fryer.

The Chefman has 3 racks which is a big factor in why I chose this. However. Racks are flimsy and made of a mesh metal like the vent cover on your range hood for your stove. They do not slide in easily. So you risk pushing too hard and spilling the food into the bottom of the air fryer. It is frustrating and time consuming to put the racks in but you have to pull them out to put the food on really.

Cleaning them with anything that is saucy or drips will be a pain I can tell. Like I said they’re meshy so they will bend and wear out I’m sure.

Then the door. You have to hold the top of the air fryer to push the door shut or open it. It is not spring loaded. And it has to like “click.” The door feels heavier than the whole air fryer itself.

It almost feels like a toy. An Easy bake oven.

It cooked the first food well. I love the touch/digital settings.

It has presets so you can push one button and go which can be handy if you’re cooking the same foods often.

So far that’s my review. I’ll add more as I go if I find things. I have only had it a day and used it a handful of times.

EDITING after using it for a few weeks.

Three racks does not mean faster cooking of more volume of food. Whatever is on the middle of bottom rack will not cook as fast or barely at all of the top rack has food.

There is not an even distribution of heat. I understand more food means maybe longer cooking times but in an oven you can cook two racks of food and they are both cooking at the same rate – generally.

If I’m cooking nuggies and fries—

This air fryer runs VERY loud. When it’s off you realize how loud it is .

The touch buttons I said were nice but there’s no feedback or haptic so you know the button is responding until maybe you push too many times lol

Again these are just things I’m finding that I will consider with my next purchase.

I would not recommend this air fryer unless you don’t have expectations or use it often.
