I bought this to replace an old GE kettle that had a similar base plate. The metal contacts on the bottom of the old one became corroded to the point that it wouldn’t power on any more. This has a similar design for the base and contacts, however the new kettle has a concave bottom. The concave bottom of the kettle, compared with the relatively flat bottom of the old one, leads me to think that the contacts won’t be as prone to getting wet if placed on a wet counter. This would be a design improvement, but it will take years to determine that for sure. I definitely have more confidence in the design on this one.
I like that the top of the kettle is big enough that I can wash and dry off the inside with a towel when needed. By contrast, my old kettle had a very narrow opening so I’d need to get creative when cleaning it. For reference, I typically wear large gloves and there’s enough room for someone with bigger hands than mine to wipe down the inside.
The fill marks are embossed on the inside of the kettle which makes it very easy to see while filling. I really like this design compared to my old kettle, which had a clear fill gauge located on the handle, which was useless.
The shape is dead simple, basically a pitcher, no weird bulges or creases, so it’s easy to see whether or not it’s clean. The only spot I’d be concerned with cleaning is the spout, which, because it is welded on, has a crevice along the weld and the side of the pitcher. The spout is big enough to clean by hand though, so it’s a minor concern.
Overall it feels sturdy, the walls are thick, it holds temperature well, the safety switch is loud enough to hear clicking, it looks nice, and I’m happy with it. I’d definitely recommend it.

Overall this kettle has worked very well. It gets water very hot and I really like the wide opening for easy cleaning. The outside finish is a lovely dark stainless steel which looks very sleek and elevated in our kitchen. The only thing I wished it had was adjustable temperature control. Also, if you get impatient while pouring note that the lid WILL leak water in addition to coming out of the spout. Not a problem for us, but just a note that it is not as snug as some other kettles.

Water heats up fast. Like that it is all stainless steel inside and the top can open part way (with the button) but also can pop open (by hand) wider for easy cleaning.
The only downside is I wish the spout inside has a little indentation to guide the water to the spout. If you pour too fast, it will come out the edges, but easy to learn/adjust and we shouldn’t be pouring boiling water fast anyway.
I was initially concern there is a min line (2 cups) and I normally just make about 10-12 oz of water for my mug size (a little bit more than 1 cup). So far that has not been a problem with operation or auto shut off.

We bought this to pack for a few upcoming road trips. That morning coffee or tea is essential. This is solid and sturdy, inner liner is stainless steel and will travel well. Water came to a boil quickly. Kinda freaked out at the noise coming from it until I realized that was a rolling boil going on. The lid will open to almost 90 degrees making it easy to fill or clean.

This is my second Cosori electric kettle. I purchased the first one in 2019. I used this kettle everyday for 3 years sometimes twice a day. The quality is excellent, easy to clean and a very attractive design. It looks beautiful on my coffee bar. This electric kettle has been one of the most reliable appliances in my kitchen. However, after 3 years the auto shutoff switch seems a little slower than when it was new. This kettle is simple to operate and brings water to a rapid boil very quickly. There is a safety auto shutoff and is easily turned off and on. The water stays hot for a long time after it boils. I have since gifted this electric kettle to most of my family members, everyone loves it. Shipping is always in a timely manner and the packaging is very good. I would recommend Cosori electric kettles.
