The COSORI Electric Kettle has completely transformed my daily tea and coffee routine, and I couldn’t be happier with its performance and convenience. This sleek and stylish kettle not only boils water quickly but also offers a range of thoughtful features that make it a standout addition to any kitchen.

First and foremost, the speed at which this kettle boils water is impressive. With its powerful 1500W heating element, it brings water to a boil in a matter of minutes, saving me valuable time during busy mornings or when entertaining guests. The large 1.7L capacity is perfect for brewing multiple cups of tea or coffee, making it ideal for both individual use and serving guests.

The stainless steel construction of this kettle is not only durable but also adds a touch of elegance to my kitchen countertop. The inner lid and filter are also made of stainless steel, ensuring that the water remains pure and free from any plastic or unwanted flavors. Plus, the wide opening makes it easy to fill and clean, simplifying the maintenance process.

I particularly appreciate the convenience of the ergonomic handle and easy-pour spout. The handle stays cool to the touch, allowing for safe and comfortable handling, while the precision pour spout ensures a steady and controlled flow of hot water without any drips or spills. It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference in the overall user experience.

Another feature that sets this kettle apart is its automatic shut-off and boil-dry protection. I no longer have to worry about forgetting to turn off the kettle or damaging it by accidentally boiling it dry. The kettle shuts off automatically once the water reaches a boil or if the water level is too low, providing added safety and peace of mind.

Overall, I couldn’t be more satisfied with the COSORI Electric Kettle. With its fast boiling time, durable stainless steel construction, convenient features, and safety mechanisms, it’s a must-have appliance for any kitchen. Whether you’re brewing your morning cup of tea or preparing hot water for cooking, this kettle delivers reliable performance and convenience every time. Highly recommended!

We bought this Cosori kettle in August 2022. We’ve been extremely happy with it. It’s incredibly easy to use, heats up water quickly, and is energy efficient. I also love that we can select different target temperatures depending on whether we’re heating up water for my coffee or my wife’s tea.

But I’m writing specifically about the great service I just received. After ~1.5 years of heavy use, our kettle started to malfunction. Specifically, it started to exhibit this behavior where it would start to heat up water even though the buttons weren’t pressed, and we had to remove the kettle from the base (or unplug the base) to get it to stop.

I contacted Cosori service and worked with a very helpful CS agent (Chad). He had me submit a video of what was taking place and a copy of our Amazon receipt. After doing so, Chad indicated that the kettle was still under warranty, and Cosori shipped us a free replacement. We are thrilled with this incredibly helpful and responsive customer service and we intend to be Cosori customers for years to come. Thank you!

[UPDATE: I’ve learned to love it after 6 months of reliable use. We boil water in it 5 or 6 times a day, and still going strong. It does eventually shut off by itself, but only after 5-plus minutes of full boil–an inconvenience if you forget about it, but not dangerous.

The pros well outweigh the negatives, so I’ve upgraded to 4 stars. It’s reliable, nicely designed, boils quickly, glass stays clean. I now recommend it as a buy.]

[UPDATE: I sent it back and got another one. This one stays on, but it doesn’t turn off when the water boils–or even 5 minutes after full boiling. It just keeps going and going until you shut off manually.]

A nicely designed kettle that will not stay on. The on/off switch turns off as soon as you turn it on. If you wait and then hold it down for several seconds, it will sometimes stay on for 10 or 20 seconds more, before shutting off again.

I am quite familiar with these kettles with the Strix thermostat inside. I have a similar one of a different brand that I repaired myself by sourcing a new thermostat from Alibaba in China.

The British-designed Strix is the best available thermostat for electric kettles, and usually lasts 8,000-plus uses. I always make sure the kettles I order have these installed. However, they are occasionally out of adjustment. A thermostat is an electrico-mechanical device dependent upon a piece of springy metal, known as a bimetallic strip, that bends with temperature increase, owing to the different coefficients of expansion of the two metals. Any slight maladjustment in the tension on the strip can cause it to shut off too quickly as mine is doing.

The kettle I bought and am now returning is from Amazon Warehouse and rated as “Used like new.” It came in an undamaged box, properly packed and cushioned, and with all the paperwork. Clearly no one took the trouble to fill it with water and test it, or they would have found out it was defective. I fault Amazon for simply recycling stuff at a discount without pre-testing, and also the manufacturer for shipping a defective item without a pre-test.

I suppose both businesses know the failure rate of their products, and calculate that the expense they incur on 2-way shipping of the small percentage of defective items is more than made up for by the profit they earn on the good ones plus the bad ones that are not returned. I will thus throw my small monkey wrench into this unscrupulous process by giving them a well-deserved 1-star rating, and hope against hope that it may contribute to their moral/ethical reform.

I still believe, somewhere deep down, that running a superior and above-board business with proper quality control could prove more profitable in the long run then shipping out a known percentage of defective products and having to take the loss on returns. Even as I also recognize in this thought the possibility that I am guided by my own wishful naivété. The almighty forces of the market seem to dictate that the current practice of shipping a certain percentage of junk, is more profitable for both the manufacturer and online retailer.

So shame on you Cosori and Amazon for your unscrupulous yet highly successful business practices! (And woe to me for attempting to oppose the seemingly omnipotent Zeitgeist.)

I got this to make infused waters I use as a toner or facial mist. BUT it heats water up so fast I fell in love and I’ll never use my tea kettle again. It’s fast, easy to use the quality so good the size also and color is perfect

Bought this as a gift for my coffee-addicted dad and he loves it. It sees daily use and still works great after over a year and a half. It boils water very quickly and quietly and shuts off automatically when it is done. The gentle blue light is very nice for early mornings, and boils the perfect amount of water for family coffee/tea. Very convenient to own and it saves my dad a lot of time in the mornings.

Absolutely love this Cosori! Being able to heat up 7 cups is the best. I can make my morning oatmeal, wash my blueberries, rinse out my pup’s food bowl, and have a nice hot soapy basin to wash my dishes after I’m done. I used to have to wait forever for my tap to get hot, (I even kept two large orange juice jugs to catch the water so I wouldn’t waste it before it got hot), but no more. Not only that, but it instantly dissolves the sugar for my hummingbird syrup. Easy to use, safe and very pleasing to look at, especially when it’s working, such a cool blue color, I can’t say enough good things about it. Buy with confidence, it’s worth every penny!

So convenient. Takes up little space. Glows a serene blue while boiling and tab makes an audible click when it’s done. Doesn’t heat up my small kitchen. I use it for tea, water for Jell-O, and to boil water to make hummingbird nectar. Pours smoothly, sturdy handle, easy to clean.
