Overall, it is a nice pan. Perfect size for a few eggs or a small omelet.
After cooking for years in nonstick frying pans, I have had to learn to cook all over again. My key learnings to date:
– Do not cook straight from the refrigerator. Let the food warm up a bit.
– Lower the heat down. Food will burn if you cook at the same settings as you do with nonstick cookware.
– Preheat the pan until a few drops of water dance around the pan, if the water sizzles and evaporates, the pan is not at the right temperature. Water should bead up and role around the pan once you are at the right temperature.
– Add butter or oil to coat the bottom of the pan right before you start cooking.
– Let the food tell you it is ready to be flipped
– Buy a container of Bar Keepers Friend for stainless steel. You will need it while you are learning to cook on stainless. It makes clean up a dream…a few swipes and your done.
I like this pan so much, I am thinking about buying the whole set.

No real complaints about this pan, though lots of people complain about burning their eggs. I’ve burnt my share of eggs on this pan, but have since learned the sweet heat spot and now I make the best eggs ever. I turn my burner on high for 2 1/2 minutes, add my olive oil followed by eggs, and turn the heat down to medium. Yours will obviously be different, but you’ll figure it out before long.
Use a silicone spatula during cooking and a non-abrasive cloth for cleaning and you will have no problems with scratching. Definitely avoid metal utensils and scouring pads.

I really like this pan! The bottom is very solid, and when I take my time to let it warm up properly is very non-stick. The sides are much thinner, so obviously not as insulated, so things that get up on the side tend to stick a little bit more. At this price-point, however, that’s what I would expect. Cleans very easily when things do stick.

Passed magnet test. “Induction ready” clearly etched on bottom. The majority of the reviews that say it’s not induction ready are old. Perhaps this is a newer version of the skillet. We got the 8″ version model 722-20 azin B00008CM6A. We also love using the glass skillets and cookware B001HJFZ4O, B000A3FWG4, B076PZR78X which you can also buy direct from corningware or ebay. Overall, we love that we’re no longer using cookware with nonstick coating, teflons, pfas. 🙂

This is really nice, solid cookware. It’s attractive and holds the heat well. The size is perfect for a scrambled egg or two. Cleanup is really no more difficult than Teflon if you use a good cooking spray. It’s become one of my go-to pans. Definitely recommended!

I have a set of Cuisinart pans with the see-through lids, and I love them. I’ve used them for over five years now. But I was needing a larger skillet for when all of our family is gathered together. This one is perfect, and huge! I actually don’t have a burner that big on my stovetop, so I kind of move it around, but it saves me making several stages of eggs, etc. I only wish there was a lid for it! That would make it even more wonderful! It’s easy to clean, the same with all my pans. I also got it for a great price, which made it fantastic!

I’m certainly not an expert on stainless steel cookware, but so far I love this pan. I cook eggs in it, and they slide right around like I’m using a nonstick. I do “spot season” my pan, which probably helps. That means I heat it a little, then add my olive oil and keep it on low heat until the oil starts to smoke. Then I turn the heat down a few notches and let it stop smoking. I usually add in my butter and let the moisture cook off,. When i add my eggs I let them cook a bit too, then slide my spatula under them to make sure they don’t stick. Perfect eggs, clean up is a breeze, and I couldn’t be happier. I clean my burner before I use my pan to limit the amount of burnt food on the bottom. I also use Barkeeper’s friend, and my pan looks shiny and new. I’ve read that pans like this with an encapsulated bottom can burn in the corners, but I suspect that might be nonsense designed to get me to buy more expensive cookware. I only cook on the bottom of my pan, so why do I want heat to go clear to the rim? Anyway, so far so good. I have a brand name pan at a good price that serves my needs. I count that a win.

This review is for the Cuisinart 722-20 8-Inch Chef’s-Classic-Stainless-Cookware-Collection, 8″, Open Skillet from the Cuisinart Store.
The skillet arrived new and undamagedand as polished as the product image shows. I use it on a gas stove. It does well sautéing garlic, onions, herbs etc. I recommend using non-stick spray when doing omelets, but otherwise heat distribution is good. Overall, it’s a quality durable skillet.

Seems thick enough and is a good size. My complaints are that food sticks more and when cleaned it seems discolored

So far as has washed up very good after use. Of course it’s much easier with non-stick surface. I just don’t want that in my food anymore.
