I like that it is stainless steal so it won’t rust out like my old Hamilton Beach one did. It is so easy to clean. Just wipe down with a damp paper towel. It cooks great, clock is right on the button. Came packed very well and with great care. Also does not show fingerprints SS inside and out side. Great price and a fantastic 3 YEAR WARRANTY. This is a great choice if you need a new microwave. Cuisinart CMW-100 IS THE BEST NO NEED TO TRY THE REST.

So I bought this Cuisinart microwave six years ago. I’ve only needed to use two buttons on it, the "Start +30 sec," and the "Stop/ Clear," button. That’s all you really need. Does anyone actually use all those other buttons?

      — DESIGN —
This is a clean and simple stainless steel and black design. The buttons are on a flat plastic surface that covers the actual physical button mechanism; this makes it very easy to clean as there aren’t individual buttons to wipe around. The bottom legs can be rotated so you can adjust them for an uneven surface. The window to see your food is clear and it’s easy to view how things are cooking. The handle to open it works without much physical effort. It’s an all around nice design that would work well in most kitchen.

      — MICROWAVE FOOD COVER —
Food covers are a miracle product in helping the inside of your microwave remain splatter free. I have a Nordic Ware Microwave 10.5 Inch Spatter Cover and the simplicity and functionality of it is a required microwave accessory. When the cover gets dirty, give it a hand-wash and you’re done. No need to wipe the inside of the microwave.

      — CLEANING —
For those times you actually have to clean the insides, I discovered a handy trick. Cut half a lemon (or cut a whole lemon), squeeze all the juice into a small bowl, add some water (1/4 cup or less), put the lemon juice along with the squeezed lemon in a bowl in the center of the platter, and microwave for three minutes. The water will steam the insides, and the citric acid from the lemon and juice will clean and loosen up any dried food on the inside. Food should wipe off easily after.

I subtracted a star because the microwave got weird on me one time and started turning on by itself. I wasn’t sure if it was a power surge or whatever, but I didn’t use it for a few days and it has since worked without any issues.

This microwave has lasted me through these last six years and a couple of apartment moves. I hope it continues to work for many years to come. Recommended.

We really like this all stainless steel inside product. The controls are excellent.

This purchase is of the exact same model Cuisinart Microwave that I bought thirteen years ago. And the only reason I’m replacing my old one is because the turntable recently stopped rotating. That being said, it’s still microwaving and all the other functions are still up and running. I took my time browsing all the new microwaves on the market before deciding to buy the same make and model Cuisinart I’ve come to depend on. It’s a large microwave and it’s powerful. The digital soft push panel is easy to operate and keep clean. I enjoy the auto defrost feature and the pre programmed fast cook settings like popcorn, fresh veggies, baked potatoes, to name a few. The large interior fits full size plates so reheating leftovers like casoreles is easy. The interior is easy to clean and has a bright light. I also think it’s a good looking appliance and solidly built. All microwaves make noise when running but I find this one to be one of the less annoying and lower decibels. I think the fact that my old one it’s still working well after a decade, except for the turntable, says more about the quality than I can. I would never have chosen the exact same appliance this time around if I wasn’t as pleased as I am. So if you’re looking for a full size microwave from a brand that is synonymous with cooking, check this Cuisinart Microwave out. I think you’ll like it as much as I do. I hope my experience helps you out a bit with your choice. Thank you!

This microwave packs a punch for its size. Family of five loves this microwave and all of the functions it offers. Powerful and many options it has been WONDERFUL!

I just purchased this because it had features other microwaves did not. I’m writing because when I was reading all the reviews for this product i noticed that most reviews were for "microwave/convection oven. NOT just reviews for microwave alone. So when making your decision read reviews carefully. Not sure why Amazon is including both products in these reviews as it appears to be a huge disservice. For space limitations, SS interior & a variety of multiple functions it is exactly what I am looking for. Another top rated model did NOT have an interior light. I’m replacing a 2002 GE which is now selling for over 300.00. After burning popcorn I had to live with the smell for weeks. Also burn marks on the light interior. Will not have a problem like this w/ss. I looked at every manufacturers microwave and for the money this was best for me. After I use this information will do a follow-up to let you know how it’s working out.

Received this yesterday. Used it 5 xs. Compared to my GE I had, it is a lot LESS noisie. The beeping when finished is NOT too loud for me. I’m over 60 and had NO problem reading the top Grey boxes w/lettering. Fit as expected. Looks very nice on counter. The handle is NO problem. When pulled it does not move forward. My only complaint would be the tinney sound when closing the door. However if made heavier I’m sure it would be more money. This review is for the MICROWAVE OVEN ONLY. NOT FOR THE MICRO/CONVECTION COMBO.
OK, I said I would get back to you. Have reheated foods, coffee, cooked bacon, vegetables (fresh) boiled water, works like a dream. The glass plate inside is larger than my old one. Takes a muffin, roll from frozen to thaw in 20/25 seconds. I find I use the 30 second button more. The light inside is bright enough to see to clean when necessary. So yes I would recommend this microwave.

I must admit I was a little concerned about shipping a microwave, but it arrived in perfect condition. The controls are similar to other microwaves, so no learning curve. It is about the quietest microwave i’ve ever used and it cooks very evenly across the turntable. I use it mostly for frozen meals, bacon and reheating and it does a great job. If there is anything I would change is the clarity of the printing on the buttons. As others have commented, some of the buttons stand out a bright white, but the majority have a blue background that appears to cover the numbers, and writing on the buttons. I thought maybe it was a protective film installed during manufacturing that could be removed, but if it is there are on edges that can be seen or felt to remove it. Other than that, I would recommend it.

    8. YMMV

I probably reviewed every make and model of microwave Amazon offers before deciding on the CMW-100. I wanted a handle; I didn’t need as large a capacity (2.0 or 2.2) as previously. I needed something I could lift! I read all the reviews for this model and ultimately decided, because it supposedly offered everything my Sharp Carousel had and because of its reputation, that it would be a good selection. I’ve been using it for a week to heat water for coffee or tea and cook some really simple meals.

In order to specify more than the 1- to 6-minute “express” time (plus the extra 30 second bonus button), you have to tell it you want Full Power first, by pushing that button. Then, it will allow you to enter the specific number of minutes and seconds you actually want. At the end of the cycle, it will beep Very Loudly 5 times then revert to the clock. Okay, I am old and getting older so, now and then, I do forget that I put something in when I’ve gone off to fill my wait time with one task or another. The Sharp used to flash “End” until the door was opened, which I much prefer. The Sharp also allowed me to enter exactly the number of minutes and seconds right off the bat, push the start button, and, voila! Change is hard. Ask anyone. I am, however, underwhelmed by what this mw offers and how to get that from it. The handle has to be given a sharp tug in just the right way for it to stay where I put it in the first place, and it has to be closed in such a way as to not cause premature malfunction of the inner latch. It is only the face and interior of the mw that is stainless. I do like the interior a lot. The cabinet, however, is painted to resemble ss. It came with one of those cursed stickers right at the top front edge that would not remove smoothly. After applying a lot of olive oil and waiting an hour, I managed to damage the finish, using just a dull fingernail. I am not pleased.

Now, about that Sharp Carousel … 10 years or more of fantastic results, super simple operation, one not too loud but long beep. During operation, however, almost as loud as an airhorn. I’m not really sure what Cuisinart’s reputation is based upon because it is my first product under their label, but the brand name was not even a consideration. Just need to see how long this one holds up.

As if Amazon actually reads these, I’d like to add that I would have tried to answer some of the questions about this model of this product, but they seemed to think that bunching up all the questions for about 3 or 4 or was it 5 different models, all with different features, was a good idea. Ha!

We have used the Cuisinart CMW-100 for a week, and so far we really like it. I chose this over other machines given how much I like my other Cuisinart appliances plus I liked the stainless interior, which doesn’t seem to be very common for similarly -priced countertop models. I would have preferred a button to open the door instead of a handle, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. The machine does not move when we open it by pulling the handle, which was a concern I had after reading some reviews. Please don’t listen to the reviews that claim you can’t input specific cooking times. Contrary to their claims, you aren’t stuck with only the preset express buttons of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6 minutes & the extra 30 seconds on the START+30 seconds button. If they read the manual, they would find you can cook up to 99 minutes & 99 seconds. To do so, you must first press the POWER button once, then press the number keys for the specific cooking time, & then press START. I was used to my old microwave (that this replaced) on which we didn’t first have to push the power button before pressing the numbers, but we are quickly adapting. This difference is fine with me because the express buttons are very handy. It makes sense that you must first press POWER because with the express buttons being pre-programmed, you can’t just push 130, for example, for 1 minute 30 seconds, because when you press the 1, it automatically starts cooking for 1 minute. Also, I am grateful for the reviewer who noted that you must remove a thin sheet of plastic off of the machine before using it. There is a warning label on the top instructing you to remove the plastic. However since that label is right by a strip of clear tape along the top & top edge of the door holding the door closed, I can see how someone might mistakenly think that tape is the plastic referred to in the warning. The plastic you must remove is not easily visible-I had to look for it. The machine is less noisy than our old machine, but it does make an odd thunk noise every time we start it, almost like the metal is being sucked in a bit. We are learning to ignore it. Hopefully this product will have the same longevity of our other Cuisinarts.
