Really had my heart set on a KitchenAid toaster I saw but apparently they don’t make them any longer…This was my second choice. Ok and works well but outside of it isn’t very heavy..just has a cheap feel to it which really surprises me.

The interface is a bit complicated and can be confusing, becuase there are so many options. But this toaster works really well. I particularly like the timer showing how long it’s going to be toasting, and the fact that it properly adjusts the time when the toaster is already hot from having just been used.

We replaced another brand toaster which was only 1 yr old because the toast took forever to toast and my husband had to work on one of the elements at one point. So far this toaster has worked quickly and toasted to perfection. We suspect we can do more with the timer but as long as our toast is hot and quick we are extremely pleased. Great toaster compared to our previous brand.

I’m giving this toaster 5 stars even though the first one was defective and had to be replaced by Cusinart. Takes a little work to set it up to your taste. After its setup, making adjustments for different bread types or preferences is a snap. The inner coils on the first toaster developed problem and were only toasting one side of the bread. It was beyond Amazon’s replacement period so I contacted Cuisinart directly. They replaced it immediately.

I like the various settings, but still learning how to set the darkness for how we like toast, bagels, English muffins, etc. Haven’t tried the memory function yet.
