I had previously purchased a set of bamboo cutting boards that I really have enjoyed. However, they were pretty thin and subject to splitting. These Farberware boards are much thicker. I’m sure they will last a very long time and serve me well.

My husband used our old plastic cutting board for the last time, taking a hot pizza from the oven, potentially infusing it with plastics acting as hormone disrupters.
A search on Amazon offered an affordable replacement for all of them, with bamboo! They came undamaged despite Amazon packaging with a flimsy craft bag and the delivery guy tossing them from ten feet away onto our concrete entry. I guess they’re fairly durable too?
They’ll be easy to clean and maintain, and to replace if the delivery reduced their usable life.

They are nice looking and I like that they are on the lighter side, weight wise. I hand washed the boards, used baking powder and a soft brush to clean them, was careful when setting them to dry. I only used these to cut fruits and vegetables. We have not been rough with these nor are they being used every day to make them start splitting. Two of the boards are starting to split at the handle and they will eventually break apart. Get hardwood cutting boards if you want a board that lasts longer.

Can be little large in size with increased stability

The smaller ones were smaller than I expected, but they have been surprisingly useful to cut apples, celery, etc. even with smaller size. Easy to clean, lightweight. Seem to handle cleaning with soap and water very well without forming water spots or having to worry about oiling them or ruining them like a wood cutting board. Nice to have a variety if cutting up different items at once.

After reading about micro plastics being shed from cutting boards (and found in cadaver penis’s : ) ) I ran out looking to replace my plastic board.
These make very nice cutting and serving boards, and for very little money.

I like how these cutting boards look. They aren’t as smooth as other, more expensive boards, but they get the job done. They are fairly thin, so if you’re looking for a thicker board, go with something else. I’m happy with my purchase though.

I’ve read that plastic cutting boards are not great for your health, so threw them all away and ordered these bamboo ones. It’s a nice set and recently used the larger one for serving cheese at a party. Very happy with this purchase!

I do a lot of food preparation using cutting boards. These continue to lie flat, even after a couple of years of use. They haven’t been worn down from my chopping. They can easily be cleaned, either rinse with water and scrub with a plastic scrubber, or use dish soap with the scrubbing, rinse and let dry in a dish rack. Previous cutting boards have warped, have developed mold (although that’s from being put away wet), and they are often not large enough or are too heavy. These are a good size and you can have two people with cutting boards since this is a set of 3. To be sure, I did have an identical previous set break after five years, but these are so good I got another identical set to replace them. The use of bamboo is excellent. While not as pretty as a teak cutting board, they work better because they are light and you can clean them thoroughly. The bamboo seems to get back its shape even after years of use with sharp knives, one of the reasons bamboo is better than teak or plastic (both of which I’ve had previously). I don’t expect to change from this type of cutting board for my food preparation.
