Update: Hamilton Beach offered me a replacement. I told them I don’t want a replacement because your first pitcher damaged multiple items on my countertop. I told hem “I replaced your product with a different one. I am not asking for recompense for the losses your leaking pitcher caused, I am only asking for a refund of my purchase price. Crickets. BE WARNED.

I loved this for 10 months and then yesterday I discovered that my countertop was covered with a puddle of WATER! This pitcher was never dropped or mistreated in ANY way. I have no idea why it would suddenly spring a slow leak–but it did. A flaw causing inaccurate heating could be excused, but there is no excuse for an undamaged pitcher leaking! This is clearly the result of a design or manufacturing flaw that is likely to be repeated. Everything that was on my countertop that could be damaged by water needs to be thrown away. For these reasons, I cannot recommend this pitcher.

I purchased this product almost a year ago and have used it daily since then. It worked great until recently when it stopped heating water. As it was still under warranty, Hamilton Beach is replacing the unit free of charge. The reality is that some products will fail no matter how well they are designed and made. The customer service from Hamilton Beach is exceptional.

We bought this electric kettle to replace an older model that was in stainless steel. (We have really hard water, and scale is a problem on the stainless version, so we wanted to replace it with glass.)

In the first photo, you can see that two buttons are labeled 200F/French Press. We know from our older model (second photo for comparison) that the bottom right is the Boil/Black option. This is just a cosmetic defect, and the second 200F button does the boil option, but it’s still annoying and an example of poor quality control.

Additionally, the buttons and lid just feel really cheap compared to the older model, like they will wear out faster.

Ultimately, though, the product is a functional replacement for the purpose we needed it for.

1st – Pay attention to which Kettle you select. They look similar but are different! Not all of them have the temperature choice option. No all of them have multicolored LEDs.

I choice the temperature controlled option with the blue LED. My favorite part is selecting the temperate I prefer for my drink. The Blue LED stays on only until it’s finished heating. There is a beep when finished followed by the LED turning off. The less you fill the kettle, the faster it heats. However, I find that it’s fast even when all the way full. This was amazing at our Christmas party, when serving tea and hot chocolate.
      Would 1000% order again.

My family loves this and uses it daily. It’s easy to use and we like the light feature along with the different preset temperature settings.

We loved this kettle while it worked! It did everything we wanted but after only 16 months it has stopped opening (when you hit the button to open the lid, it gets stuck so you have to use your finger) and it has now started leaking when we pour. Otherwise it was a great kettle and we really liked it and all its features.

Picking an electric kettle based on reviews turned out to be tricky because there seemed to be a lot of options with mostly poor reviews or others that varied widely from one person to another. I finally decided on this one and after several weeks I am still very happy with it. Everything looked good out of the box and worked exactly as described. I prefer the easily adjustable temperature on this one and have been using it for coffee and tea. Time will tell how durable it is over time but so far, no issues to report.

This is the coolest looking electric kettle I’ve ever owned, and I’ve owned a few. It’s so pretty when it’s all lit up! It boils water like a pro, and works fast. I like the multiple heat settings. I like that the water only comes in contact with glass parts. My one complaint is that the spout is shaped in such a way that water goes everywhere (and not in your cup) when you pour it. I’ve used inferior kettles that have a much cleaner stream of water than this one. It’s a shame that an electric kettle that is so nice in all other ways can’t get this one very important thing right. It’s all looks but doesn’t work where it counts. It makes me miss my old kettle.

Attractive. I like the variable temperature settings. This one was a gift and I was told it does not shut off on full boil setting.
