I used to use one of those thin/bendable plastic cutting boards, thinking it’s easier to transfer food into pots/pans from the board, but they tend to get bent in time and they’re simply too thin and I hated the feeling of my knife pretty much hitting the kitchen counter.
So, I decided to buy this set. I wanted to try a wooden board, but didn’t want to spend too much in case I didn’t like it, and this set had the perfect price tag and I liked the fact it came with 4 different sizes, so that I can see what size would actually be more useful.
I’ve been using it for 2 months now they’re doing great (except one of them started splitting a bit and started showing some strange black dots on the side… possibly mold??? though I can’t think of any reason why mold would grow on just one of them. Maybe it’s related to the fact that it’s the only one that’s cracking. And this is the only reason why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.)
Anyway, apart from that one, the rest are doing well and having 3 boards is plenty.
I like the juice groove to avoid spilling liquid on the board, as it happened so many time using the bendable plastic boards.
I’m handwashing them with dish soap. They seem to dry pretty fast, and so far no stains etc. on the surface. They’re not super duper thick so even the largest one is not too difficult to handle.
I sometimes use them to serve some food like appetizers, snacks, pizzas and sandwiches, etc. too!

These are nice, serviceable solid bamboo cutting boards. I found a couple of splinters but a quick spot sanding fixed that up. They were decently conditioned on the top surface (where the groove is) but the back surface was very dry. I used some cutting board oil & now they’re shiny, durable, & ready to go. The set of 4 is the perfect array of sizes for everything i do in the kitchen. If i ever need cutting boards again I’ll check this brand first!

Prior to purchasing, I used a lot of reviews to help gauge if this was worth buying. I did notice several reviews stated they only received 3 boards but I noticed this wasn’t everyone’s issue… So I hoped/assumed that this wouldn’t be the case for me. However, unfortunately, I was wrong. I, too, received only 3 boards. It seems as though the tiniest one is missing. Just as others stated, there is a plastic wrap around all the boards so it seems like it’s a manufacturer issue. HOWEVER, why is it that Amazon isn’t noticing this? It is easy to see there’s not 4. If I am paying for 4, I want all 4! See attached pics.
I contacted Amazon asap to explain the issue. Apparently the only thing I can do is process a return, reorder it, and “hope” they mail me one with 4 boards. The rep said if it happens again, I could just call back and then they could investigate the matter further. So it’s important for us all to call and raise awareness on this issue!
As for the item, all I can say now is the boards are heavy despite there only being 3. I put the sealed boards on a scale and it says the 3 of them weigh 9 pounds (just for reference). They “look” good at preliminary glance but I won’t know for sure until I am able to open the seal and touch/use them.
UPDATE (02/24/2023): Went from 3 stars to 4 stars
Got my new one. I picked it up at the Hub and opened it in front of the workers just in case if there was a problem again. Fortunately, there was 4 this time (idk why the plastic was already slightly torn though as if someone tried to tamper with it)! I took two initial pics with a date stamp because I was so surprised. Even the way the boards were laid out were different than the previous boards.
I measured each of the 4 boards to compare their actual measurements to what is listed here. It seems pretty spot on so I am happy they advertised it well. I did find it strange how the pics online show that the small board doesn’t have a hole at the top corner but mine does (not a complaint at all lol). See all the images I provided with this review.
Overtime, I may do another update on how the boards hold up after use with meats, veggies, etc.

I recently read that using plastic cutting boards is not nearly as safe as sticking with wood. Although these cannot be put in a dishwasher, they clean up easily with warm water and a teensy bit of soap or even just a little squeeze of lemon. I did mark one for meats only just to be extra safe!

I’ve been looking for some good cutting boards for a long time. These boards are perfect as there are four different sizes which are all reasonable for different things. I also like that it has the drip guard as many wooden boards do not. Highly recommend!

I like the smaller sized cutting boards for quick things I need to cut up. The largest sized cutting board is large enough for preparing a full meal. Made the switch from plastic cutting boards to these and I will never go back.

I got these as a gift and then got a set for myself. I use them daily. They are sturdy, easy to clean and come in different sizes. Also, reasonably priced.

I recently purchased the Hiware 4-Piece Extra Large Bamboo Cutting Boards Set for my kitchen, and I couldn’t be more pleased with this decision.
