I was given one of these as a gift around 3 years ago. I liked it it a lot. Then, when it was just out of warranty, the display started to fail. This got steadily worse so that I was always guesstimating at the time and temperature. Eventually at probably 3 years of age, it died.

I then searched for a replacement. After shopping, considering my criteria, despite my mixed experience with the previous one, I purchased this same model again. Much to my pleasant surprise, the new model seemed to be the version 2.0! It heats up faster and is quieter.

This air fryer is wonderful for tasks such as cooking up frozen french fries, reheating pizza or chicken, cooking sausages, etc. Due to the constraints of counter space, I sold my toaster oven. The air fryer and a toaster cover all the bases in that area.

I just hope this air fryer lasts!

I simply Love the Instant Pot 10QT Air Fryer with 7-in-1 Functions; it’s easy to use, takes so much LESS TIME to cook than my traditional oven, and so far, I’ve been happy with the food results. I use it to cook frozen foods and to reheat leftovers mostly, and I’m thrilled with it. Highly recommend for these purposes.

I used the broil feature to make cinnamon toast, and it turned out wonderful. Just had to use the light and watch it so it didn’t burn, which I had to do in a traditional oven also. The only negative about that was the blower blew loose cinnamon powder all around the inside of the Air Fryer, which I had to wipe down well after it cooled. It wasn’t hard to clean up, just unexpected, since a traditional oven doesn’t blow the food around. I haven’t cooked anything other than that, so I can’t rate the rotisserie feature.

I’m glad there’s no digital clock to have to reset when the power gets disrupted; I have enough other clocks in the kitchen. The cooking timer is easy to see so you can tell how much time is left while it’s cooking, and it tells you when to turn the food for even cooking.

The only thing I wish could be improved is the loudness of the beep. It has very low beep when it’s ready to add food, turn food and when done, and I have to be in the room to hear it. Compared to my microwave beep and my traditional oven beep (both of which I can hear from the next room), the Instant Pot Air Fryer beep is far too low and needs to be louder.

As far as the counter real estate that it takes up, that is no problem for me. I measured my counter area before purchase, and I tried putting a cardboard box roughly the same size as the appliance on my counter as a test before purchasing so that I could get a good idea how much room it would take up. It’s considerably taller than a toaster oven that I once had, but I have enough clearance with the overhead cabinets and the actual Air Fryer works well on my counter.

Overall, I’m happy with this purchase and would buy again.

I recently purchased the Instant Pot 10QT Air Fryer with 7-in-1 Functions, and I am extremely pleased with its performance. This versatile appliance has quickly become a favorite in my kitchen.

The 10QT capacity is perfect for cooking large meals, making it ideal for families or gatherings. The 7-in-1 functionality is impressive, combining an air fryer, broiler, roaster, dehydrator, and more into one convenient device. This has significantly streamlined my cooking process and reduced the need for multiple appliances.

One of the standout features is the EvenCrisp technology, which ensures that food is cooked evenly and achieves a perfect, crispy texture without the need for excessive oil. Whether I’m making fries, chicken wings, or roasted vegetables, the results are consistently delicious and healthier compared to traditional frying methods.

The digital touch screen is user-friendly and offers a range of preset cooking programs, making it easy to select the right settings for various dishes. Additionally, the appliance is easy to clean, with many parts being dishwasher safe, which adds to its convenience.

Overall, the Instant Pot 10QT Air Fryer is a fantastic addition to any kitchen. Its large capacity, multifunctionality, and excellent cooking performance make it a valuable investment for anyone looking to prepare delicious, healthy meals with ease. I highly recommend it.

Okay I’ll say right off, maybe I should get more friends! But as a man who is a self-styled amateur chef, I have been pining for one of these types of cookers for a couple of years now. I always find a way to squeeze in one more item on the countertop.

I choose this model based on reviews, features and brand name. I use my Instant Pot pressure cooker on a semi-regular basis and it is also a great cooking appliance, so I trust the brand name, and it doesn’t disappoint.

I first took the air fryer into the garage and ran it through a couple of cycles before using it in the kitchen. There was clearly some smell as noted elsewhere, likely from manufacturing. By the time I used it “for real” on the 3rd run, barely any smell. And by the next time…no discernable smell at all.

My complaints are small, but let me get those out of the way. I wished it preheated up to temp faster. It’s advertised in such a way that you think in 60 seconds, you’re cooking. In my experience, it’s 5+ minutes to get it to 400. Faster than an oven for sure, but not quite the blink of an eye I was hoping for. Second – the beeper is not loud enough. It beeps to tell you it’s now at cooking temp, to rotate food or when food is done. For some reason, it seems louder to tell you food is done than it does to tell you the preheating is finished and to add food. You’ve got to be very close, so you can hear (or see) when it’s up to proper temp. Since most foods are specifically timed, if you don’t get your food in shortly after it heats up, it will start counting down whether there is food in it or not. Neither of these takes away from the overall 5 stars.

I’ve had it for about 4 weeks and have tried a variety of items. I used the roast feature for skinless salmon. Amazing taste and quick. I found that 10 minutes was perfect for my fish. Others might find mine slightly overcooked, so experiment.

It took about 3 tries for my fresh sweet potato fries to come out perfectly. I finally got it right at 20 minutes at 400 in the basket using the air fry function. Evenly cooked and delish.

I did homemade coconut shrimp. I can’t remember the exact time – it seems like 12 minutes at 380 but I’m going by memory. There are recipes out there to cross-check my memory. Again – used the air fry function.

Baked potatoes were the best I’ve ever made at home. If you like potato skin, check this out. I rubbed them in olive oil, then lightly sprinkled sea salt, black pepper, and a blend of spices that is mostly garlic powder on the outside. These were large potatoes but I guessed and I guessed right – 400 degrees on bake setting for 50 minutes. Perfectly done inside and a nice crispy and tasty skin. You’ll have to take a stab at it based on potato size. HUGE potatoes could be up to 60 minutes. Small taters – might be as low as 25 or 30 minutes.

Other items I’ve done are quick prep items. Some frozen and breaded shrimp were perfectly done at 8 minutes at 400. Frozen tater tots same temp at 8-10 minutes. I sprayed a light coating of olive oil and salt on the tator tots. Crispy and delish.

Everything so far has been easy and delicious. I have not used all functions – only bake, air fry, and broil so far.

If you’re on the fence and you like to cook, take the leap!

3/5/23 update: still really enjoying my air fryer. I find that it makes fish taste amazing. The dinner shown in the photo is flounder and sides. The flounder was cooked about 7 minutes using the broil function. Rubbed a bit of avocado oil, then used some fresh thyme and lemon pepper seasoning and a touch of garlic spice blend. Squeezed some lemon over the top, and broiled perfectly. I still use it, still enjoy it and continue to recommend it!

This air fryer craze has become monolithic. It’s genuinely, actually, verifiably insane how fast these appliances seem to have proliferated across basically every single kitchen in the U.S. and beyond.
For some time, I viewed myself as a ‘true’ culinarian. Far above the common air fryer existing in my perfectly structured kitchen. “It’s just a miniature oven!” I would tell people, incredulous as to why they would relinquish a Benjamin from their pockets to our Amazonian overlords. “Everything you can do in an air fryer, you can just do in your normal oven.” I told them. I told myself this as well. My nativity makes me feel sick now.
I am in agreeable with my former self, and the snobs that refuse to accept the air fryers culinary dominance for convenience. It IS just a tiny oven that lives on your countertop. A tiny convection oven. That is in fact, the exact point. It’s meant to be small. Small means less volume of air to heat up in order to preheat and cook your food. Small means less electricity used for the same portion of food. Small means fast. Sure, you can’t make a whole thanksgiving dinner in this thing, but in today’s day and age we all don’t socialize but three times a year, so heating up your whole oven 6 nights out of the week just for some Dino nuggets is becoming more and more wasteful now that I think about it.
I also agree that the term ‘air fryer’ is silly. I’m going to call my pot of boiling water a ‘water fryer’, and my fridge an anti-air-fryer. The definition of ‘frying’ is to cook something in hot fat or oil. While your air fryer may not cook something ‘in oil’ your food typically contains enough oil on its surface to impart some of that crispiness on its own, sans the big tank of oil needed for ‘deep frying’. I’ll let it slide, cause otherwise I don’t think I’d know what to call it either, cause “Miniature Countertop Convection Oven” sounds bad.

In regards to this particular air fryer. It’s the best. The convenience in day to day life is literally unmatched. My normal oven takes about 15 minutes to preheat. This air fryer can cook my food from frozen until done in that amount of time. Pizzas come out crispy. Dino Nuggets with a ‘not-completely-unlike-fried’ flavor to them. Salmon can be baked so hot and so quickly that the center still remains a nice soft pink instead of being blasted pale all the way through like my normal oven would. On the internet you’ll find all sorts of dumb esoteric recipes to try to justify to the non-believer like my former self that buying one of these will ‘totally get you to make an air fryer cheesecake’, but the reality of it is, you don’t need any of that fluff. I, like many red blooded Americans am not ashamed to say I eat leftovers. This reheats 90% of leftovers without any hassle, in about 3x of the microwave, but with 200% better results. If leftover pizza takes 1 minute in the microwave, I can have a slice done in about 3 minutes with this air fryer, and it yields significantly crispier crust.
As for the little do-dads that come with this air fryer, you might as well toss them. The little basket is kinda funny to toss a bunch of Dino nuggets into to watch duke it out for 5 minutes as they rock-em-sock-em dinosaurs inside of the countertop oven, but other than that there isn’t much use to it. The full size chicken rotisserie is the same, seeing how a rotisserie chicken from any grocery store is like $6 and reheats better on the flat trays that are provided than the spit attachment.
All in all, this air fryer is a tank. Soaking up damage from my leftover ribs, burgers, broccolini, popcorn chicken, and whatever other nonsense I toss at it for the better part of 3 years now. It’s durable, it looks pretty clean with the 90 degree angles, and I’d say it’s well worth the money.

I got sucked down a rabbit hole 3 or 4 times when researching air fryers. I would settle on one only to read that it had a pretty high failure rate. That happened to me several times. I have an Instant Pot that I use all the time. This had the same name, although that probably doesn’t mean anything in this day and age. You don’t know who is really building them. That said I have been getting excellent results with this one.

I won’t bore you with every little detail as you can see that on the product page. The positives. It uses two trays instead of a basket as most of the fryers do. So far I have been able to put 10 full size chicken tenders in it, 5 on each tray. Also 8 plump chicken wings, 4 on each tray. I forgot to mention there is also a removable drip tray on the bottom that makes cleanup a lot easier and faster. It also has a rotating basket that is great for fries and roasted veggies. You don’t have to turn them or shake them as the basket takes care of that. The capacity of the basket is also pretty good. It has a rotisserie spit that I haven’t used yet. They like to show a picture of a chicken on it. You can do that but it’s going to have to be a pretty small chicken. I think you can get 2 Cornish hens on it easy enough. Temperature, time and function are set on a touch screen. The instructions say to pre-heat it and I like that. Some air fryers don’t require pre-heating. So if you’re cooking something at 400 degrees for 10 minutes you know its 400 degrees when you put the food in. It also is a vortex style which means it has a fan above the heating element that really circulates the hot air all around the food.

The cons: The only one I can think of at the moment is size. This sucker is big, and heavy. But don’t forget it has a lot of capacity. You can see in the picture that is a 1.4 cu ft microwave and the Instant Pot is sitting behind the air fryer out of sight. The air fryer dwarfs it.

I like fried chicken. A lot. This makes it easy and a LOT less messy and a lot more healthy . I was deep frying my chicken in a stock pot at 375 degrees. The second you put 4 cold tenders in it that temp drops to around 280 and it takes it a bit to get back to 375. The air temp doesn’t drop at all in the air fryer. Deep frying is messy, very messy. There’s hardly any mess with the air fryer.

I’ve had it about 5 weeks and used it 4-5 times per week. So far I am very pleased with it.

    8. Syed Tajgeer

I liked its quality and multiple way one can use. It’s fast and works great once you understand it. It’s fast and I am very happy with its results.
      It’s a bit expensive.

    9. Barbara J Carvell

The chicken wings this Fryer makes has everyone wanting more. It is so convenient for children that are starving and need something cooked or reheated. Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, bacon all cook in a matter of a few minutes. Clean-up is a breeze no matter what you cook, 5 minutes or less. Jimmy Dean bacon is the best, it comes out light and crispy. You do have to separate the bacon by folding it in half that makes it easier to separate, and you do need to babysit it for about 10 to 15 minutes, but it will be the best bacon you ever had. As for the Company who makes the Air Fryer the service is some of the best of any product we have ever purchased. We bought one as a gift for my wife’s sister, before she could use it, she got sick and did not feel up to even opening it for almost a year. When she did open it, it had been damaged, not just the box but the glass inside was broken and other damage. We contacted the company, sent pictures and explained why it had taken so long, but thinking there was nothing they could do, to our amazement, they sent my my wife’s sister in Florida a brand new Instant Vortex Plus Air Fryer. The customer service people were not only nice to talk with, but went way over and above what we expected of them. Quality, Convenience, Affordable, and Excellent Customer Service.

    10. Jazz

After using this for the first time, I realized how poorly my previous air fryer was performing. It’s very quiet, and really browns the food. If you don’t want something to get too brown too quickly, make sure to place the food on one of the bottom shelves. It has a lot of options as well. Fries are crispy in only 8 minutes. Easy to clean. It even has a broil function to quickly toast bread or melt cheese.
