This was a replacement for a Corsori air fryer and I am very glad I made the switch. The fryer basket has a teflon coated drop in plate that sits just above the bottom of the basket. The hot air circulates completely within the basket, which eliminates the need for air louvres (like the Corsori). This makes cleaning the basket much, much easier to clean.
The controls are clear and simple to use. The time and temperature use a dial control, which is quicker than button adjustments.

6QT Air Fryer with Odor Erase Technology, I really like the size of this Air Fryer, It works good and disturbs the heat well, a few things I don’t like about it, No stopping the draw from sliding out all the way, Matter of fact hubby already dented the basket… because it hit the floor, Second thing is the window… is very hard to keep clean, it gets fogging. it is complete stainless steel in the inside. however the outside is a lot of plastic.
I originally was looking for a complete all around stainless steel body inside and out. Apparently they do not have ones with stainless steel inside and outside and with the basket being completely stainless steel.
I think they need to rethink the basket design for some kind of stopper for the basket doesn’t slid out.I do like the light on the basket. it is easy peasy to clean up. I have not put it in the dishwasher, No need it cleans up well in the sink. We had replaced a ninja with this Air Fryer, Ninja had horrible plastic smell while using it and the interior got all rusty looking. So far No complaints with this one having bad smell of no rust..

It has not been a year so I can not discuss the longevity, but it works veery well so far. Easy to clean and easy to learn after a few starts. I did not experience any plastic burn smell on the initial non food start or subsequent. So far so good.

How did I live without an air fryer for so long?!? I’ve had this one for a few months and use it several times a week. I love that it has a viewing window so I can check on the food. Most do not have that. I got it at a great price too. Put foil at the bottom and then the plate and it will help with cleanup. The initial smell goes away after you run it empty a couple of times so that wasn’t an issue for me. Cleanup is pretty easy. It works like a charm and is very easy to operate. I only use the air fry and reheat options. Someone told me that all the other options all do the same thing, which is air fry. I’ll try them out one of these days. The black color looks nice and sleek since it lives on my counter. Now I look for groceries that have air fry instructions printed on them.

I don’t know how I ever did life before air fryers! We use them so much, this is our third! I thought I was going to hit the jackpot with this one based solely off the brand. While I do like it and don’t feel “stuck with it”, there are a few things I think they could improve upon.
Things I like:
1. Time and Temp are easy to control/change, even mid cycle.
2. LOVE the window and light!! Being able to see in without having to stop, open and restart is great! (especially because of #3 on my list of things I wish were different)
3. Very easy to clean.
4. Clean, sleek design. Also love the square shape vs. traditional round fryers. Wastes less counter space.
5. Very quiet. Some might think the signal when the cook time has ended is too quiet.
Things I wish were different:
1. Even though the square shape allows it to waste less counter space, it does have a rather large footprint. I wish it was just a little smaller without compromising cooking capacity.
2. I really wish it were stainless steel inside. Why, in 2024, are we still pumping ourselves full of forever chemicals with non-stick cookware?!? I’ve mitigated this (as much as possible) by purchasing stainless steel basket inserts. They fit and work great, but still would prefer not to cook my food in a non-stick oven.
3. I wish there were an option to skip the pre-heat function, mainly because once your pre-set cook time is up, and if your food is not fully cooked, you have to go through the pre-heat cycle all over again in order to continue cooking. Is it terribly long? No. Unnecessary? Very.
Overall, it’s a great air fryer so far. I’ve been using it regularly for 3 months now and haven’t had any functional issues.

I was in the market for a larger capacity airfryer and the “Insta Vortex” was one of the highest rated after I researched and read reviews across several sites.
I previously had owned a Philips airfryer that was highly rated as well. So I was somewhat on the fence about switching brands. I did ultimately decide to give the “Instant” a try when a limited time price drop came along. Well I am happy to share that so far it has been worth it. This airfryer is worthy of all the good reviews it has. Here are several of the features I love. The fan is incredibly quiet when compared to my older af, cooking capacity is awesome(I can cook four smaller chicken breasts at a time), the interior light and viewing window are something I didn’t realize I wanted or needed, audible chime alerts which are pleasant and helpful, clean-ability of the basket/tray and odor filter are some of the features I am enjoying so far. I have yet to try all of the cooking options it has, but I am confident that they will not disappoint. Well, I don’t usually jump on cooking fads. The last time was about a 3 year ago when I decided after listening to everybody talk about pressure cookers for ages I would finally get one. Ended up returning it because it was pointless hard to clean and I can only think of about three things to make it
Fast forward to now after the new trend has been these goofy air fryers. I had as long as possible, but then I’m shopping for a new microwave and thought I would get one with a built-in air fryer and then watched a few review videos where they said, never buy an air fryer. That doesn’t have a slide out drawer because they’re hard to cleandid a little research and really like this one decided to get the cheaper version without the window. Lo and behold Amazon warehouse deals. Had this one for 50% off because the box had a scratch on it. Everything inside was perfect. Really good deal.
Welp, now I know why everybody was talking so highly. Even though it feels a little on the cheaper side compared to my Breville appliances it’s still pretty decent. I wish I didn’t have shiny black plastic. It’s already been wiped down two or three times and has 1 million swirl marks on it.
But otherwise, I’ve been really impressed with hot cooks. Just spray your food with a little oil for moisture and it turns out really well and cooks pretty quick. I’ve been cooking a lot more just because I don’t have to wait 10 minutes for my oven to heat up. And then clean big huge pan pot. The sink cooks quick and cleans just as fast. If you want to change your filters more often just look for grease absorbing filters and you can get huge sheets for dirt cheap and cut them to size.

After researching many options for air fryers online, I decided to purchase the Instant Vortex 6qt Airfryer with Clearview and Odor Erase. It was a bit bigger than expected, but the basket is nice and deep and wide, plus you can view the food cooking instead of opening the door every time you want to see how things are going. Love the window, and even with The liners I purchased, I can still see how the food is cooking. The odor erase is nice because it cuts down significantly on food smells coming out from the exhaust. If there were any drawbacks, I would say 1) I’d like the max temp to be higher. It says 450 in the description, but the max temp for air frying and baking is 400, roasting 360 etc. 2) the outer plastic and display are impossibly sensitive to scratches, so use a soft cloth to wipe the outside, and 3) It says the basket is dishwasher safe, but after reading reviews, I would not submerge the basket because condensation does get in between the outer plastic portion and inner basket glass, so its not a “sealed” unit. If this happens you could theoretically it apart and clean it, but seems like it would be a royal pain in the ass to get back together. The inner basket is coated non-stick, so just wipe it out with a damp sponge and mid soap and you’re good to go! As far as Air Fying itself, it heats up super fast… like 2-4 min, and cooks faster than my convection range, so it saves on electricity, and all the recipes I have tried have been spot on for time, temp and tastiness…and easy. Very nice unit for the $.

PRO: See thru window is a plus; really crispy foods with air frying; quick, quiet and great for a couple or smaller eaters up to 4 people.
CON: can be very dangerous! Bake cycle when making something loose like macaroni & cheese. No lifts for pan to place in or retrieve! You set the oven temp and the time bake and it preheats!!! Now it is hot! How do you slip in the baking pan without scorching knuckles! I had to take the whole basket out to cool it – No way to retrieve. Now off to find a lift of some sort!
CON: no directions in package. Waste of time to find out essentials not obvious. If making fries, nuggets, etc simple to figure out on your own…but other things like the bake cycle would be nice to know what essentials you need to buy or they should include like LIFTING HANDLES. Would be nice to include a circular about sizes of pans you need, etc and what to buy!!! Spend hours researching on your own! Ridiculous.

This would be fun instead of aggravating! I can only review baking and frying because haven’t used the other settings. Their Web leaves a lot to be desired. For selling, simple. Made out like recipes were available but they didn’t say for all their sizes all mixed up for all the appliances they sell! I gave up and bought a book for two cooking with air fryers! First AirFryer for us to own so maybe for the rest of you out there in the quick cooking world you do not have the issues we just had.
UPDATE: BOUGHT NECESSARY ITEMS TO BE ABLE TO USE THIS…and since have found many videos on YouTube and really enjoying this item. So changed from 4 stars to 5 stars. Like so many appliances today you have to download complete manuals. Thats just the way of life. So really happy with this little cooker. Do you need it? Probably not! But it sure cooks fast and you get excellent results when you understand what to do and there is lots of information out there. So just read! Made beautiful wedge potatoes last night with a chicken that usually we would grill and used the AirFryer feature and both were excellent. Now looking for another great dinner for tonight that is really quick. The preheat is so quick, not sure it is necessary at all. The CON that I find now is the tray that fits in basket will dump with the food, so watch out! If you know this, you can use a hot mitt to catch it! Laughing. So just pay attention.
