I Iove this, but there is one issue that bugs me. The knob to turn the device on is located on the same side as the steamer wand. It should be on left. The wand is powerful! You need to already be holding the cup with the wand inside, while turning it on. This makes it awkward to do with both steamer and knob on same side. I had an older model of this machine that had the knob on the left and was great until it died. (After years of use.) All in all, I love this! I make a coffee every morning and froth the milk. Delicious! I like that this model is more compact & thinner than my older one. I really love that this comes with a metal frother cup, as my older model came with a ceramic one instead.

If the knob to turn the device on was on the left side, instead of same side as steaming wand, then I would have given this 5 stars.

I had the Mr. Coffee Cafe Barista for 8 years and loved it! Used it once or twice daily for that long with no issues at all! I had to replace it this year and liked the price point on this since I didn’t need all the bells and whistles. I really like the espresso it produces, but it’s very light. That makes it harder to unscrew the canister piece. I always have to hold the whole unit to remove the canister. I also don’t like that you have to fill the water reservoir every single time. The other unit I had had a tank. Lastly, I often find the unit still on later in the day because I forget and the on light is on the side so I don’t see it’s still on after I’ve used it. All of that being said, the taste of the espresso and the price point still makes it worth it to me. I don’t foresee this will be a long-time maker for me, but it’s already paid for itself.

My son wanted this after trying out one that my brother had at Christmas. He is 16 and set it up and read through how to make his espresso all on his own. He then taught me how to make it. The instructions were very easy to understand and now we are making our coffee without needing instructions. It has been fun to play around with different recipes and methods of foaming the milk. Everything is easy to use, and easy to clean. This is a great compact espresso maker for beginners.

I had to figure out what worked best to make cappuccino to my taste . In my case , somewhat more coffee grounds . Make the expresso first and microwave it to get more hot . Froth the milk separately and add to the coffee .

I’ve used this nearly every day since getting it (a month, month and a half or so) and the seal on the screw on lid has already fallen off. The machine is still functional, I just have to take it off the opening after I unscrew the lid. The machine is quick to make good espresso and is easy enough to clean. I have a separate frother so I don’t use that function.

this is a STEAM espresso coffee maker..so steam is HOT..Professiona style espresso use hot water at about 198. but these do make good coffee..in just a few minutes and with no troubles…the portafilter holds enough for a full large cup..(no cup comes with it). So makes one full cup at a time..then you refill water, and empty then refill the portafilter for another cup. The portafilter is tight..for first week or so of use..TIGHT..but eases up. The fill lid is MUCH easier to tighten than the Capresso Steam…I sent that one back because of the impossible water fill lid..shape. The portafilter goes on and off hard when new..over time it loosens a little..do not leave it on tight when not in use except at first to loosen up…as on tight many times will end up making too loose. It does take two hands to get the portafilter on and off. Saying again–simple fast STEAM espresso..so all steam espressos are too hot for truly great coffee..but its quick and easy.

It’s a Mr. Coffee, so it’s built for Americans. You can’t make a single shot of espresso; you can either make a double shot, or 4 shots. The photo is the amount of coffee you get when you make a double shot. If you think of it as a regular coffee maker that makes a reliable cup of coffee, it’s decent for the price. It’s like drinking an “Americano” from Starbucks. UPDATE: after using the coffee maker for about a week, it exploded! Water, coffee grounds all over my kitchen counter, and a very scared dog. I can’t figure out how it happened, because I followed all the same steps I had every other day, so I’m returning it.

as someone who has always wanted the $600+ espresso machines, this one is soooo good for the price. The coffee comes out great. Make sure you follow the step by step instructions on how to use the machine because it is a whole process. For the price though, I don’t mind the lengthy process to get my cappuccino!

The Mr. Coffee Espresso and Cappuccino Machine is a compact and convenient option for those craving café-quality beverages at home. Its stainless steel design not only looks sleek but also ensures durability. The machine features a powerful steam wand and milk frothing pitcher, allowing you to create creamy cappuccinos and lattes with ease.

Operation is straightforward with simple controls for brewing espresso shots and steaming milk. The 20-ounce capacity is suitable for single servings, making it ideal for individuals or small households.

However, while it excels in frothing milk and brewing espresso, some users have reported occasional issues with consistency in espresso extraction and steam pressure. It may take a few tries to master the technique for achieving perfect froth and espresso.

Overall, the Mr. Coffee Espresso and Cappuccino Machine offers good value for its price, providing a convenient way to enjoy espresso-based drinks without leaving home, albeit with a learning curve for optimal results.

Cheaper version for frapping milk however the arm/steamer gets milk stuck to it as soon as you froth and it can only be wiped off with a rough sponge and it is a delicate wand easily damaged.
