We really like this coffee maker. We needed to replace our cheap, worn out coffee maker and decided it was worth it to spend a little more on something that we use every day.
Almost everything about this unit is well designed and thought out. It is very easy to add water with the removable and washable tank, which is clearly marked, has ergonomic grab handles and sets into place easily. The carafe has a special vent and pours very well. It has a very comfortable handle.
You can make a specific amount of coffee directly into a cup or travel mug, or use the carafe. Even the filter basket swings out in a smooth and quiet way unlike most machines.
The machine has several options to select when brewing, which is probably to blame for my only complaint; it is a little complicated to set the timer. It has a bit of a learning curve, but not bad. I did have to refer to the instructions, which I don’t usually need to do.
The brewing quantities are in ounces as opposed to cups, and weird amounts at that – 8, 10, 12, 18, 28, 37 and 55. I guess I’m used to referring to cups, but 37? 55? Maybe they are used to liters?
Overall I really like this machine and appreciate that it is well designed and thought out with nice features.
We did have to get a replacement carafe; the handle came off the first one on the first pot of coffee, resulting it the glass part of the carafe dropping. It could have resulted in a burn and huge mess, but we lucked out and it only fell a couple of inches to the counter and didn’t break. We’d recommend inspecting the carafe top for security. I called their warranty line where we Face Timed so I could show them what happened. They completed the registration for me, and promptly sent a new carafe.
I would definitely buy this again.

this coffee maker is the best thing ever! i am not a fancy coffee making person and even i find making lattes and such with this thing to be a breeze. the frother comes off easy for cleaning, and the machine has settings for iced coffee, and rich coffee which i love. We are able to accommodate anyones preferences when they come over for coffee now, and i love that! it is a bit pricey, and do not put the cover to the water tank in the dishwasher (thanks husband, it shrinks) and you will love this thing for years. we are on year 2 with ours now, and it’s easy to clean overall best investment on a small kitchen appliance we have made!

I did research for a month on coffee machines. I was sick of our Keurig making a cup at a time. We didnβt use K cups so it was a lot of trouble to fill coffee into the little k cup filter. I read about different machines. I watched a lot of videos on YouTube reviewing coffee machines. I would make up my mind after reading reviews and then I would change my mind again if there was a bad review. I second guessed each machine. I read reviews on so many different brands. I read reviews on all the different Ninja coffee makers. I was very hesitant to order one, but chose this one and so far we love it!! I love how easy and FAST it is to make a carafe or different size cups. It is hot and the coffee tastes so much better than with our Keurig. We love it! Highly recommend for ease of use, taste and ease of cleaning. Great coffee machine so far!

Yes, I waited 2.5 years to write a review on this. I still vividly remember the excitement of it delivering from Amazon and firing it up, and it’s been all good memories since then. To start, we are replacing it due to it not functioning correctly anymore. Will try a hail-mary by doing a cleaning cycle tonight, but don’t have high hopes. The issue is that the coffee keeps dripping and dripping far beyond the time the Ninja beeps that it is done. It’s been doing this for about nine months or so. It was something we learned to live with, but now the water is actually backing up in the drip basket for some reason. We have not been able to find a clog. I think it has to do with the way the water is coming out of the top during the brew cycle. Yes, I did regular cleanings with vinegar as instructed in the manual (but we have soft water anyway.)
Additional small issue: at some point our burner plate got scratched up. We never used abrasives to clean it, so I think this was due to knocking into the plate with the Yetis sometimes. If you are careful you can learn from our mistake. We don’t have a ton of surface area that’s scratched, but it still sucks.
FYI: we never used the frother even once so I can’t speak to how it works. We also didn’t ever use the Delay function to have coffee waiting at the time of wake-up.
This is a very cool-looking coffee machine to have on your coffee bar or countertop. The foldaway cup holder not only looks cool, it’s functional to stop splashing when you are brewing a single or double mug. We didn’t use it this way often; but it worked well.
Half the time we were brewing the XL travel size into a Yeti using Classic mode, a quarter of the time we were brewing a half-carafe using Classic mode and it would stay on Keep Warm for two hours, and a quarter of the time I was brewing an Iced coffee into a Yeti. Every so often I’d use the specialty brew to make the Iced Coconut Chai Coffee recipe in the book (highly recommended!) All functions worked well and made delicious coffee.
The benefits (besides it being so nice-looking) was the removable water reservoir, being able to make both hot and iced coffee, the durability of using it nearly daily for over two years, and the simple fact that it made GOOD coffee. I personally would recommend this to others, as I think it lasted a perfectly respectable amount of time. Just make sure to care for it the way it should be (with regular cleanings.) Now the tough part– replace this with the same model, or get the CM371 which has a Cold Brew function that has replaced the Specialty brew…?

Our k-cup top of the line that has been replaced once already and upgraded because of mold issues, was a sad cup of coffee. I have been blaming the lack of “boldness” on the Half CAFF Maxwell House, my new healthy choice. Although, old and crappy good ol’ real potent BOLD blends weren’t worth the jitters for the taste either. Cheat ICE coffee and Tuxedo hots were my take out treats, jitters on my errands around Metro Atlanta happen anyway, right. So…when the machine not only gave subpar coffee but had the audacity to become “incontintent” on my counters, that was it. My adult children had gone “Ninja” after the first K-cup mold in the tank replacement scare. Had to admit their coffee was so delish, even their Cosco Decaf, but geez $150!
As I shopped for my brand name K-cup, the prices were comparable to the Ninja’s. Especially, if you want a removable water tank you can refill. I decided to just glance at the Ninja Pots and was very happy I did.
The same great model my kids have used for years, like 7 years old and like new, was on sale for $130 – a penny. I shopped the Ninja Store at Amazon, and 3 of my other favorite online discount, close out and overstock places but none could beat this model, with it’s bells and whistles or ratings. Besides, already know how to work this machine, from messing around with the kids. Know it has to brew great coffee because it makes that Cosco Decaf taste great when I hit the BOLD button. (I can pretend it’s ESPRESSO!) Having Guinea Pig Coffee Consumers was a great problem to have. I have to drink lots of water, but it feels so wonderful to have an afternoon “full” Caff espresso or one with my evening dessert as I love and really, really enjoy the flavor.
It’s a small joy, but these little things in life are special. My Great Grandfather introduced me to overly creamed and sugared coffee as a Preschool child, even putting Ice Cream in my cup sometimes, with our evening desserts. Because “that’s the way it was in the old Country”, that coffee plus Vino, anchovies and horseradish he would tease put hair on your chest. Was disappointed my curls never reached my chest. As a girl I grew out of that dream, never my love for Bold Coffee. Grew out of watered down 50 years ago, my tastebuds Thank You, Ninja

Decided finally that with the cost of pods and the limited selections, it was time to move on from my Nespresso Vertuo after many years, but having the ability to make single serves was mandatory. Granted, scooping into a filter, then quick rinsing for additional cups, is not as easy as inserting a pod, but doing so isn’t the end of the world. What drew me to the Ninja, besides the very attractive price, was the flip down holder for a single serve, the choice of several cup/container sizes, and that most times not having to even use the carafe. As with other Ninja products, this one came nicely packaged, appears soldily made, and the controls are easy and intuitive. The quality of the brew of course is directly related to the quality of the coffee used, but a good brand provides an excellent taste. I like LaVazza and the result is similar to what you get in hotels and cafes in Italy. The only down side is there’s no espresso size. However, the frother is easy to use and doesn’t require flushing a line. Speaking of flushing, having read comments about a plastic taste, I flushed the machine three times instead of the recommended once. No plastic taste at all. Finally, it has a kind of 50s retro look which is nice. So well worth it overall.

I bought this coffee maker as a replacement for my Cuisinart PurePrecision after our second glass carafe broke and we are still waiting for the replacement we ordered 3 months ago. π
My priority was a great cup of coffee and I used the SCA Certification as a way to quickly narrow down options. I then looked at countless reviews, videos, etc. I was on the fence about getting a coffee maker from Ninja — if it had too much going on to do any one thing particularly well. However, for the comparatively low price compared to other options I looked at — and the fact that we are pretty happy with other Ninja appliances — I decided to give it a try.
We’ve been using for only one week, but here’s initial impressions:
Pros:
1. Makes very good coffee. I made it on the settings that were used for its “gold cup” certification, and also on the “rich” mode. I’ve also made a single cup. I haven’t tried over ice or specialty yet. I have a nespresso and I think that’s just going to be easier if I want “specialty”. Also — for people who like their coffee hot, this is your machine! I actually let the coffee cool a bit in the cup to release the flavors before I drink mine.
2. Removable water tank — I hate when grounds get into an integrated tank and there’s really no easy way to keep it clean.
3. Glass carafe seems like it will be durable (see Cuisinart issue above)
4. Can customize brew strength and change the warming plate settings (time, and low/high)
5. Versatility to make single cup of various sizes, half or full carafe
Con’s:
1. We made our first full carafe and the grounds hit the top of the coffee maker and made a mess. (not sure if our grounds were too fine or what – but we used the amount used in the SCA certification)
2. No easy way to make between a half and full carafe (there’s not the standard 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 cup markers). Although, I assume that’s something I can play with and figure out. But half carafe is usually enough for two of us.
3. When you make a full carafe, the water fill line in the tank is very close to the top — so you really can’t fill the tank directly (like from our refrigerator water dispenser) because it spills when you walk. You really need to use a separate vessel to fill the tank.
4. The stop-drip doesn’t always work right away, so there can be a couple of drips — but the nice thing is that the warming plate must have a coating that prevents the drip from burning the plate
5. Size — this is not a small machine so make sure you have room
I’ve come to accept that all coffee makers have some issues. I think these are manageable on this one and since I didn’t shell out $300+ I am OK living with them.

The function, size and efficiently of my new coffee c machine is everything I needed. My coffee comes out so smooth and tasty, the frother IS AMAZING! And I love how it can pull out and in for space efficiently. You can make one single cup, a full pot and a half a pot which makes life so easy. For sure worth your money. I ordered the size 10 cup as it has the frother. The frother is worth your money

I spent more on this than any previous coffee makers that I have owned. The performance of my Ninja pro blender purchased over 12 years ago gave me the confidence to buy this item. It was worth every penny. The ability to make a wide variety of coffees was also a key factor. The ability to do that is one thing but to do that task at such high level was unexpected to say the least. I use Folgers BlackSilk coffee. The beverages that I have made on my kitchen counter taste phenomenal and on par with that coffee chain out of Portland at a fraction of the price. I have never had the milk frother attachment before.i did not expect to use it but that hasn’t been the case. I have become to love my iced latte topped with the thick frothy creamy goodness. I am pleasantly surprised at how much my coffee pallet has expanded. I was a cup of plain black strong coffee
most of the time kind of guy. Now I enjoy all kinds of flavored beverages that range from hot to cold and even iced. I cannot go on without touching on the ease of cleanup and maintenance on this unit. It is so easy clean, practically rinse off under running water and let dry. I would recommend this coffee maker to any and all who enjoys a great cup of Joe! The quality, durability, and value of this makes it fantastic purchase IMO it is the best coffee maker that I have ever owned in my 55 years of life.

I’m a terrible Amazon user because I order 90-110 items per month and this is probably my 3rd review.
That’s how much I LOVE this coffee maker. My coffee is everything, and I like it strong and bold, which is why pods just don’t work for me.
One of the things I like most is that is has so many size settings from one cup to a carafe including two travel mug sizes. And something I have not seen any other coffee maker is that, because the brew space is tall enough for a carafe, it allows you to also brew directly into the tall travel mug ππΌ so no dirty carafe to wash every morning. And the single cup platform is very sturdy, can handle large mugs, pulls down from the inside wall and flips right back up out of the way.
There is an espresso setting that uses just the right amount of water which you can drink as espresso or as the base for other coffee drinks including lattes.
And this is a critical feature that more coffee makers are starting to have: When you press start, it dispenses enough steaming water to properly wet the grounds, waits about 10 seconds, then brews. It makes any coffee taste better, but is especially important for those of use who like it strong.
Every feature on this thing works EXACTLY as you hope it would. So many products describe a lot of features, but honestly theyβre often crappy and poorly designed so they don’t work well, or they require keeping extra attachments somewhere. It’s like Ninja thought of every typical frustrating thing about coffee makers and fixed them!
The positioning of the frothing arm is perfect – when not in use you don’t even notice it; can’t even see if you’re right in front of the machine. But just reach back and it right there in the perfect spot to froth your milk. The pieces are simple and detach easily for cleaning.
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, something as simple as a recessed holder for a two sided (1 & 2 tsp) coffee scoop!! It’s right at your fingertips, you snap it back in when you’re done and you don’t notice it because it’s recessed.
BUY THIS COFFEE MAKER – YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!! π
