…I had to order these to use with my induction cooktop until my kitche’s done. They are well-crafted, wonderfully made…and have no non stick coating whatsoever. NOW I understand my mom’s sudden need for all her cookware to get jettisoned and replaced with non-stick cookware. Unless you’re cooking something terminally greasy begging to be someone’s heart attack, EVERYTHING STICKS. It’s relatively easy to clean if you let it soak in the sink for three days. As beautifully as these are made, I’ll be perfectly happy to donate them to Goodwill after my kitchen’s finished. I want to go back to my non-stick stuff!!!!!

We have used Belgique stainless steel cookware for the last 24 years, although on our old set, our handles are not ovenproof and after almost a quarter of a century, they show a bit of wear. We were excited to try this T-fal set of 14 piece stainless cookware. Immediately we noticed that the stainless steel on these pans is a bit thinner than our Belgique set, but the silicone edges on the ergonomic feeling handles is a huge improvement over our Belgique.
The count of 14 pieces seems a little bit disingenuous because their count is broken down as:
1) 1.1 qt Saucepan
2) Lid for 1.1 qt Saucepan
3) 3.2 qt Saucepan
4) Lid for 3.2 qt Saucepan
5) 3.5 qt Deep Saute pan
6) Lid for 3.5 qt Saute pan
7) 5.5 qt Dutch Oven
8) Lid for 5.5 qt Dutch Oven
9) 8 in Fry Pan
10) 10.5 in Fry Pan
11) 1/4 tsp Measuring Spoon
12) 1/2 tsp Measuring Spoon
13) 1 tsp Measuring Spoon
14) 1 TBSP Measuring Spoon
Usually when a cookware set is advertised as a certain number of pieces, they do count the lids separately (which I disagree with, but accept as industry standard), but the inclusion of measuring spoons counted piece by piece is kind of silly. I would call it a 10 piece set with a bonus set of measuring spoons.
I had been very excited at the notion of dishwasher safe cookware, since our Belgique is hand wash only. As it turns out, (and I should have guessed) they recommend hand washing…but they ARE dishwasher safe. We are determined to ultimately wash them in the dishwasher for the best test of their durability and for the convenience, but I’m torn by the fact that our dishwasher requires a lot of pre-washing. So, pre-washing these makes it too easy to just scrub a little more and have them already ready to dry and start their next cooking task! Since there are only 6 pots in this set, I like having them ready to go!
T-fal is best known for their non-stick surfaces, but in light of all the new information about how dangerous those surfaces are, there has been a healthy industry shift away from them. I was looking forward to trying this new "Techno Release" to see if it might be more conducive than our plain stainless pan bottoms to preparing certain foods…especially eggs.
We use Grapeseed Oil when we cook our eggs and I found with a scant amount of it in the pan, the Techno Release was actually somewhat effective…certainly more-so than our plain smooth stainless bottoms. (Please note that this set of cookware can only be used with medium heat or less.) After cooking eggs or other sticky foods (like the caramelized maple from cooking breakfast sausage), I added a tablespoon of baking soda to the pan and some water and let it simmer for a few minutes, then turned it off. The stuck on food lifted off well and the pan was easy to clean. We did have a super weird experience with our first use of the fry pan that led me to make a baking soda and dish soap mix and scrub all the pans thoroughly. We had followed the instructions and washed the new pans thoroughly with warm soapy water, but apparently it wasn’t enough for a first use…our first cooking experience with eggs turned the eggs gray?!? (See first pic) Eww.. I know of reasons that eggs can turn gray/green (like extreme over cooking of the eggs), but those factors were NOT an issue here…it happened almost immediately after we started cooking the eggs, so I’m certain it was an invisible something in or on the pan. We tossed the first set of eggs, scrubbed with the baking soda and dish soap mix and then tried again and they turned out great!
We have been very happy with the way sauces and foods cook in these. The lids fit a little on the loose side, but the handles are nice and the venting is convenient and works well to help keep the lids from leaping all around.
One of my favorite things about this cookware is that the pots are all oven safe up to 400 degrees, except the Dutch Oven which is safe up to 500 degrees (since the handles on the Dutch Oven are only stainless steel).
As I mentioned, the handles on the Dutch Oven are stainless steel alone, but the rest of the pans have what they call a "silicone wrap", though it is really around 3/4 of the handle (the very tops are open). The handles also all have openings for hanging them. I love the feel of the ergonomic handles..they are comfortable to hold, even when full.
The measuring cups are nice, but it is hard to consider counting them as part of the pieces in a set of pots and pans.
In general this set is very nice! They could definitely be a little more heavy duty, and while I like the Techno Release, I do wonder if making the raised design more prolific in the bottom would help even more.

I bought this set because it has a decent price and it’s safe for health my problem with non-stick cookware is that as time goes on it may be dangerous to your health and this one is really nice I have cooked veggies in it I have fried in it the only thing that I would recommend is not to overheat because I accidentally overheated the smallest pot and the color changed other than that it’s really nice but it does get hot quickly so you need to wear mittens for the handles

I purchased these after several sets, like copper etc. I have owned tfal before and still use them, though not specifically for induction, when I opened the box they looked great, but felt light, like maybe they were cheap, then i stated flipping them and said, well they’re easy to use, then I put them on the panel WOW no noise or vibration like my other brands and HEATED up right now! Great pans, so happy I did read a review that talked about seasoning of this pan, don’t waste your time! I baked the oil on, thought I ruined them but a little scrub, and they were clean also i noticed they got burn stained and was like well I guess ill have to scrub them all the time, NOPE put in dishwasher, and they were clean! I cant say enough about these pans I’m back to enjoying cooking again, your results may differ, but I’m not a chef, but I’ve spent a lot on others trying to find a nice one and at a normal price, I tried and succeeded here!

We have cast iron frying pans and moved to a place with a glass topped stove. Add to that the fact that I recently remarried, and my wife is not used to cast iron. She wanted “something modern.” We had used the cast iron for nearly 5 years though, just being careful with it on the glass. Our old pots were about worn out and we finally decided to buy a new set of pots and pans. We got this, the T-fal Pro E760SC Performa Stainless Steel set.
The pots are ok, I like the fact that there is no coating on them to come off in our food. The pans? They have some kind of ribbing in the bottom and EVERYTHING sticks in the ridges of the ribbing. It is a mess. I cannot fry an egg without it coming apart and burning even on low heat. It sticks to the ridges and burns where it sticks while I am trying to get it loose with a spatula. I’ll use the pots but the frying pans are being relegated to the trash heap.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THESE ONES!! i did a lot of research and these were the ones i went with. i am so very happy with my purchase. I had some older paula dean copper stainless steel ones and they barely lasted a few uses. These have already gone above an beyond. i am having trouble cooking eggs in them as i was still using the skillets that had the Teflon coating on them. hoping i get better at it. i do have to watch my heat with these as i am used to the other type of pans that can be used on high heat and not get hot so fast! however, it is very nice boiling water and BOOM it is super hot and boiling so much faster than usual!! i would have liked a 12" skillet as well but in time i will have to buy one separately. otherwise, a great find! i got the one with the rubber on the handle. i debated for a while before ordering. i am glad that i went with that because the other ones without it were the same angle handle and it would be awkward feeling with out that rubber there. also helps with the heat on the handles. The stockpot does not have the rubber and can also go in the oven, though i have not done that. i use my dutch oven for that stuff. All in all i would highly recommend and would buy T-fal Stainless steel products again.

I bought this stainless steel set to replace a ceramic set that had chipped terribly in the two years I owned it. In the hope of this set lasting longer than two years I’m taking very good care of it, only using silicone, nylon, and wood utensils, cooking at medium to low heat, washing and drying them by hand immediately after use, storing them so they are not stacked on top of one another. The raised edges on the pan are not as helpful as I had hoped and seem to facilitate sticking of food rather than prevent it as advertised. Other than this The pans perform as expected. The key to cooking success seems to be adding half a teaspoon of oil to the pan before cooking. Still, even with oil I wasn’t able to make eggs without them sticking to the raised grid on the frying pan. I’ve decided to use my electric skillet for eggs and bacon (which also leaves a terrible mess in the pan) moving forward. These pans work great for stir frying or making a roux. They are more work to clean. They have the tendency to develop a heat tint (blue stains in the pan) but a spritz of vinegar and rub with a paper towel will quickly remove it. Cleaning with water and baking soda will scratch these pans. I knew more or less what I was getting into when I bought these pans so I’m not surprised by the challenges I’ve encountered. I bought them for durability not for ease of care. I would choose stainless steel again, but would not choose a set with the raised edges in the pan.

No copper or rock or teflon gimmicks. Just plain good fry pans and easy to clean

I’m an advocate for stainless cookware. They are a cookware set that stands the test of time. Had an old set for 30 years. The handles wore out, but the pots could still be used.

The only drawback to these are the embossings on the bottom tend to make it harder to flip delicate foods.
